IMMIGRANTS, not legal American citizens in poverty. If we got rid of just a

Amendments law?

The Supremes have not expanded upon that definition specifically to
cover those children of illegals born here, but most sane people
do not think they have to do so. I suggest lower courts would consider
it black letter law.

AIUI in the past that included ocean liners (when ocean
liners existed. US ocean liners are/were US territory.)
I dunno fer sher how it works for US airliners, but I'd
think it's the same deal.

Back in the post WWII years there were a number of
children born on US ocean liners bringing pregnant
immigrants from Europe. And their parents weren't
yet officially Americans -- their own kids beat them
to the punch, just by being born in the right place,
which could have been in the middle of the Atlantic
Ocean. Probably in rough seas, at 2:30 AM.

True, but people born on a reservation are considered US Citizens now.
Rules change as interpretations change. Why I said the court has not ruled
on the anchor babies, but they could very well declare them non citizens.
The law does not stand as it reads. As the court has not really said what
it reads.

As I stated, pretty much black letter law. There's no need for the
Supremes to get into this, and they haven't. Native Americans were not

Yes, his main competitor for the position was a guy who produced a
YouTube music video called "Barack the Magic Negro."

That pretty much sums up the Republican party.

And somehow the Republicans didn't vote for that guy, even though they
did embrace him as a finalist for the position. But they figured that
if they put a black guy in that position, he could deflect criticism
about their racist nature, and the party could simply hide behind him
while completely ignoring what he says. Just ask your real leader,
Rush, who has already brushed aside Mr. Steele.

Michael Steele has been a joke. We're still waiting to see how he
gives the Republican party a hip-hop makeover, as he promised to do.

That ought to be extremely entertaining, just as it's already been.
Next thing you know, John McCain will be sporting a doo rag and Sarah

I live in Washington and it's 3.6% black, not that it makes any difference.

I've met, befriended, done business, played golf with black people and
people of all races.

The color of one's skin is irrelevent. The behavior, in particular the
concept of personal responsibility, is relevent...and it's an issue you fall

owning the middle, exactly what middle ground has he taken so far on any
issue he's proposed or put into law???

IF they can be arrested and tried for crimes committed, if they are
compelled to pay taxes (like sales taxes) etc. they ARE under the
