1956
CBS, Fri 4/6, 5-5:30 pm ... Sat 4/7, 5-6 pm ... Sun 4/8, 5-6 pm
Chris Schenkel, Bud Palmer
- The CBS press release shows Jones and Roberts (which sounds very
questionable) and does not list Schenkel and Palmer.
- CBS aired Friday coverage the first two years.

- The CBS press release also lists Schenkel and Derr.
1960
CBS, Sat 4/9, 5-6 pm ... Sun 4/10, 4-5:30 pm
Jim McKay, Jim McArthur, Art Wall
- A few years ago, CBS rebroadcast footage from the 1960 Masters and
these were the only three announcers who appeared on that footage. The
CBS press release does not list Wall, so that is a clear error. That
press release also lists Schenkel and Derr. The CBS press release
lists Schenkel at 18 and McKay at 17 However, McKay was clearly at 18
on the CBS footage and Schenkel was nowhere to be found.
1961 - Jim McKay, Jim McArthur, Tom Harmon

CBS - Sat 4/8, 5-6 pm ... Sun 4/9, 4-5:30 pm
- The above crew worked due to the AFTRA strike. The NY Times says
that the following crew was originally scheduled:
John Derr, Jack Drees, Henry Longhurst, Cary Middlecoff, Byron Nelson,
Jack Whitaker (Note: I'm not sure the Whitaker listing is correct. See
the Whitaker comment under 1968.)
- The CBS press release missed the boat here (showing the scheduled
crew rather than the actual crew).
1968 - Pat Summerall, Frank Glieber, John Derr, Henry Longhurst, Jay
Randolph
CBS - Sat 4/13, 5-6 pm ... Sun 4/14, 4-5:30 pm
- The CBS press release also lists Drees, Middlecoff, and Nelson.
- The CBS press release inexplicably lists Whitaker for 1968-1971, but
Whitaker was banned by Augusta during these years after the infamous
"mob" comment he made in 1966.
1969 - Pat Summerall, Frank Glieber, John Derr, Cary Middlecoff, Henry
Longhurst, Ray Scott, Frank Gifford
CBS - Sat 4/12, 5-6 pm ... Sun 4/13, 4-5:30 pm

reinstate the previously banned Whitaker to the broadcast crew to
replace Longhurst.

for ABC at that time.

CBS - Sat 4/12, 3:30-6 pm ... Sun 4/13, 3-6 pm
- CBS rebroadcast footage of this Masters a few years ago and the CBS
press release is clearly wrong on a few points here: Nantz was on 16,
not 17, Lundquist was on 17, not 14, McCord was on 14. Wright was on
15 only.
- Interestingly, when CBS aired this footage, they only included one
shot from hole 14 and that footage did not include any audio from
McCord. It seemed as if CBS went out of its way (or perhaps was
instructed by Augusta officials) to not include any mention of McCord
on this rebroadcast.
