The one in particular is where the young, elastic, naturally athletic son
finally whups his old man in golf. My 16 year old and I played our first
round of the season today and by the end of our 9 hole match, he had me by 3
strokes. No dirty tricks were working. He wouldn't listen to my golf tips,
swing thoughts, nuttin.
But.....at the end of 9 holes, he challenges me to make it 18 holes, despite
the fact that I parred the last 2 holes. Gleefully I paid for the
additional 9, downed a vicodin for my aching back, then nailed six more pars
and beat him by 5 strokes.
Dad----> Multiple victories

Wonderful story.
As soon as he doesn't need you to pay any bills, he'll kick your butt
every time!

Uh oh! Performance enhancing drugs!
I know. I seriously thought of Chemical Anni upon ingestion. Vicodin is
now along side Advil in my bag. Fortunately, I don't feel any goofy effects
from it.

How the hell would you know?

Good one!
I pop a couple of advil or alieve prior to every round, especially
during RSG weekends.

If it ain't on a federal schedule of controlled substances it ain't a
performance enhancing drug!
I've done the same thing with Advil and rarely discern the difference.
Vicodin is definitely noticeable. No wonder it's not OTC.
-Greg
Well, yes, it wouldn't have been funny if Vicodin wasn't on the federal
list of controlled substances, but it is.

Oh, I agree. I broke my arm a few years back and they gave me some
Vicodin. That is gooooood stuff. No wonder Favre was addicted to it.

It doesn't matter - each sport (or league) can define its own drugs
that are illegal to use according to its rules.
I wonder if pharmacists have these on its computer. A member of a
team sport can always get medicines through a team physician who knows
the rules of his sport - but PGA Tour players are independent
contractors. Finding out which new cough medicine that was purchased
at the Hong Kong open is within the Tour rules could be difficult.
One bad thing about the drug problem: Steroids are very useful in
recovering from injuries. Athletes get injuries. Abusers have
taken away this useful tool to recover from injuries.

I worry about that a bit. I find myself taking one every night. That and
Ambien really helps with the "restless legs" I get at night. I hope my
intake/need never exceeds this.
-Greg
That's some pretty strong stuff to be taking every night.
You'd be doing less damage to Junior if you were fucking him.
Cya idiot!
A Vicodin each and every day, in the absence of severe pain?
You have a drug addiction -- added to your more obvious psychological
problems.

I would be certifiable if I took the diagnosis of a typical anom coward
seriously.
John.....thanks for your genuine concern. I got a Vicodin Rx because of a
rib injury. I will be seeing the same Dr. shortly and describe how I've
used the remaining pills, at night, only when I've had trouble sleeping. It
wouldn't surprise me if the Rx is renewed. I suspect it's a low dosage,
since I've never felt any dizziness or high from it.......just blessed
relief.
