I didn't see anything east of Pensacola--am I missing something?
Jim
I played Bluewater Bay and Regatta Bay in mid July. Regatta
was in much better shape. Check out some of the discount books
for sale at Edwin Watts and maybe some of the other golf shops.
We paid about $55 at Regatta with the 2 for 1 coupon. This year's
book did not have as many good deals as the book in 1998. This
would only make sense if you are going to play several rounds
to help cover the cost of the book (and have more than one golfer in
the group).
The rest of my group also played at Indian Bayou and said it was
in much better shape than in years past...they said it was better this
year than Bluewater. I have played Shalimar Point in the past....
great course and one of the better values in the area.
One note....not sure where you are staying, but I found several
condos
that include golf in the package. We may stay at one of these next year
since they include the umbrella/2 chair beach setup and 1 free round of
golf for each night you stay. The Inn at Crystal Beach, Crystal Dune
and
Emerald Dunes condos are on old 98 just east of Henderson Beach. These
are the ones that included golf, at least one was golf at Regatta Bay
and one of the others was a choice of Emerald Bay and Seascape if I
remember
correctly...the brochures are at home.
