I'd think that it would have been dropped already.

The lengths some will go for attention. You might think you are funny.
You might think you are being bold. The truth is you are neither. Your
actions clearly broadcast to all here what you are. Providing links to
a doctored photo that is clearly inappropriate says it all.

What you have done is disrespectful and vulgar. And this is an all ages
site, maybe you don't care if a child could come across this awful link,
maybe some of us do. People come here to discuss golf and sometimes
non-golf topics. Thery do not come here to see doctored photographs that
include frontal nudity.

I am not a legal expert, so I don't know whether you have exceeded the
boundaries of the law.
I can assure you that your posts and the appropriate headers have been
forwarded on. On to someone in a better postion to judge the legal
appropriateness of what you have done. And for sure a whole lot better
position to do something about it, if there is any illegality here. Just
because you CAN do something, like posting a link to this doctored photo,
does not mean it is right. There is absolutely nothing funny about this.
This is first and foremost the former President and the First Lady. You
may not agree with their politics or the job they did, but the office
still deserves respect. And this is a wife and mother. No one would like
their wife or mother of their children depicted in a public manner as
this.

I have seen doctored pictures of Obama also on the internet, they made me
want to throw up. Some of them have had racial overtones. How pathetic
these people are that apparently have nothing better to do with their time
then compose such filth. And how pathetic are those that feel this need
to provide links to this filth, so the rest of us can see it. 99.9% of
us have the ability to see what it is, low class filth. Only the most
lowest rung of society could find humor in a doctored photo that's only
aim is to insult or ridicule by using sexual or racial themes. What a
bunch of low class degenerates, those that compose it, and those that
forward it on.

Freedom of expression is a gift that many around the world will never
enjoy. With it comes certain responsibilites. And respect for others.
You could not have done a better job of showing how our freedoms can be
abused.

No shit, Sherlock. If you look up "disrespectful" and/or "vulgar" in the
dictionary, you'll see Annika1980's picture right next to the entries. He
would be the very first to admit it, and it is one of the things we all
know & love about him.

By the way, Annika has been an active participant in this newsgroup for
about 15 years - many of the other regular posters here personally know him
IRL, and have played golf with him. And you are...??

Who appointed YOU to be the judge of what is or is not "appropriate"
content? Who gave YOU the right to dicate policy to a senior member of a
club where you are a rank newcomer?

>And this is an all ages site, maybe you don't care if a child could come

Son, you don't have a clue do you? Not a farking clue. You are living in a
fanasy world if you think this is an "all ages" site.

This is USENET, not a moderated discussion board - and usenet is not a
place that any child should be browsing unsupervised, as there are
literally hundreds of newsgroups carried on this very server that are
exclusively devoted to extreme hard-core pornography - stuff that would
make the photo of Laura's Bush seem very tame by comparison.

Evidently you are a newcomer to the Internets themselves, as well as being
a newcomer to rec.sport.golf... you have wandered into a bad and lawless
neighborhood, but are apparently operating under the delusion that you are
in some sort of safe, gated community. Usenet is no place for pontificating
control freaks.

Really? I thought it was hilarious. And educational too! Young men raised
in an era of razors and depilatory creams may be completely unaware that
"women of a certain age" do NOT shave the beaver, unlike their younger
sistren.

And that is something to be proud of? You don't know me, but vulgar and
disrespectful are the last words anyone would use. Rather, good husband,
good father, hard worker, good charitable Chrisitian. That probably
applies to many here. Can't think of anyone who would want those words
like vulgar and disrespectful associated with them.

So 15 years in this newsgroup gives someone a pass to post links to
doctored photos with frontal nudity? . Especially of the former President
and the first lady. Not in my book. Not in the book of most decent,
normal people. What kind of weirdo are you?

Anytime a doctored picture as this is posted, on a golf group of all
places, it is not "appropriate. There is right and wrong. Whomever makes
doctored filth as this is wrong, and whomever provides links to it is
equally wrong.

It is an all ages site. It is supposed to be about golf. It is open to
all. Just because sick people post porn all over the usenet does not make
it right.

If you think this is hilarious you are a distrubed individual. It is
everything but hilarious. Any rational person would agree that posting
filth as this or providing a link to it is wrong. If you believe
otherwise, you are warped. I will pray for you.

Well la-de-dah - good for you. Perhaps "vulgar" wouldn't be a word to
describe you, but "self-righteous sanctimonious twit" certainly fits.

Like so many so-called Christians, you wear your religion on your sleeve...
absolutely overflowing with sinful pride at what a holy, flawless perfect
person you (think) you are. In my experience, most so-called Christians are
people who take the greatest pleasure in looking down their noses at
others. It is the very core of how they define themselves - and you typify
the breed.

Yes, I am vulgar and disrespectful I work very hard at it - I've never
claimed that my shit dosen't stink, but you obviously think that yours
smells like roses.

There you go again. "Decent normal people". Pride, pride, pride... the
biblical Pharisees would have been happy to claim you as one of their own.

Annika is free to post whatever he likes. He certainly doesn't need your
permission or approval.

Frankly, though he wasn't my favorite president, I rather like George Bush
the person, and I have a feeling that he would probably find that photo
rather amusing. Everything I've ever read by those who know him well, says
that he has a pretty raunchy sense of humor.

Hell, maybe it's NOT a "doctored" photo at all - maybe it's the real thing!

Again, if you actually believe that, you are utterly, terminally clueless.
There are many moderated, strictly web-based boards relating to golf where
discussions can be tightly controlled, and where kids can safely browse.
USENET IS NOT SUCH A PLACE. It never has been in the 30+ years that it has
been in existence. Anyone who would allow a minor to have unsupervised
access to usenet is an idiot.

rec.sport.golf has been a vulgar, bare-knuckles-no-holds-barred, more often
than not completely-off-topic group for years and years before you ever
came on the scene, and will continue to be so long after you are gone and
forgotten.

Again I ask: WHO appointed YOU to be the moral guardian of this newsgroup?

Of course, I can't help but notice the word "abe" buried in your alleged
email address, which makes me wonder if you are actually The Hammer having
us all on. If so, nice try Eric...
