But you have been saying all year that all the departing starter should be high draft picks. To most people top 10 picks are high draft picks

lmao.....no, in the nfl draft(where there are > 200 picks) all four of the bama players selected in the first round are certainly considered high draft picks. It's not the nba. Most power5football programs don't even have a single player drafted in the first round....bama averages 4 per year under saban, just like this year.

You'll grasp at any possible straw just to respond to about anything I post related to bama, no matter how absurd your line of thinking is. Whether a player goes 7 or 11 in the nfl draft depends more on team specific needs than anything. For example, The browns at 4 needed a true corner, not someone who will play FS. So they 'reached' a little for a guy was value by all the experts was 9-10 or so. No big deal, because at that level in the draft you don't go bpa in lots of cases.

Had a bama player gone 6 and not 11 you would say "oh no top 5". Hell had bama players gone 2,3, 4, and 5 you would say "well they didn't have the #1 pick though"........

It was another grand slam home run draft for bama....again. Far superior to any other college football team this year.

hmmm...more like your vision is wrong/delusional.

Want to go back longer? Lets pick a big round number...go back to 2000.

Michigan State's record since then? 3-11.....so even worse.

Again, wtf are you talking about? You made a ridiculous statement and I called your ass on it. Then you doubled down and it got even worse lmao...

it is...and part of a conversation is you supplying something substantive on one part of it. You mentioned that your school is regularly beating tOSU. That comment struck me as odd since I recall Michigan State generally getting their ass handed to them by tOSU. So I looked it up to make sure I was right, and then posted the short term evidence(over the last 4 games) that showed tOSU is 3-1 against Michigan State. You then made a reference to how this wasn't looking back far enough, so I selected 2000 as a data point(going back 14 seasons) and pointed out how Michigan State's winning percentage is even worse over that time against tOSU than my initial last 4 games.

So where is the evidence for your claim? Regardless of whether you look at last 2 years(0-2), last 4 years(1-3), since 2000(3-11) I don't see anything to back up the idea that MIchigan State 'regularly' beats tOSU.

tOSU owns michigan state....in the short term, medium term, long term, etc....thats why your comment was so bizarre

hmmm...so a 2016 article which highlighted michigan state's 2-2 record vs tOSU. The bad news for your argument is that your statement was made in 2018 and that record over that time span is now 2-4(which is what I posted initially). Had you made an argument in 2016 which said "hey over the last 4 years we've beaten tOSU twice" that would have been accurate. But you didn't, and it's not.

You know ken, it's ok to say something like "I was wrong. We don't beat tOSU regularly these days, but at least we have won a couple games over the last several years which is more than many other teams can say".

But don't just keep doubling down on more absurdity when the facts are clear(especially by citing a two year old article that also doesn't really speak to your original statement)

tOSU *OWNS* Michigan State. In the short term, the medium term, and the long term. The numbers I've posted bear that out.

I will say that the last couple of years haven't been the best, in that
sense I'm wrong. I am always looking for brighter years ahead. We still
have been the closest in-conference competition for tOSU since MD arrived.

michael anderson

well yes and before the last couple of years the record since 2000 would be 3-9...which I would qualify as "not the best"(generously) as well. In fact, the only way you could make an argument that MSU has been even decent against tOSU in any time period is to do EXTREME AND IRRITIONAL CHERRY PICKING OF YEARS(like some random and illogical 4 year window that cut off 2 years ago and started 6 years ago) that gives you a 2-2 record overall.

> We still
> have been the closest in-conference competition for tOSU since MD arrived.

*this* is perhaps true, as he has a few wins against them in his long tenure. And there is nothing wrong with that. But thats what you should have said, not "we beat them regularly" when it's very much the opposite of that.

But tOSU, really since Tressel arrived, has destroyed everyone in the bigten and owns it. So no shame for MSU there.

You need to become a Bama fan. It took the Ohio team 4 tries to win
one. Woody Hayes and Earl Bruce couldn't do it.

It's always humorous to hear Ohio fans say, "If we cherry pick, we can
prove we are a better team." But some people don't agree that football
started in 2015.

I'll add that I don't really hate Saban, even though I'm sure he's still
referred to as Satan in East Lansing. When I was there in the mid 80's
there was still hatred of Larry Bird. I think his being from a place
called French Lick is reason enough to like him.

I think there are 3 categories of sports fans - those who hate teams
that win too often, Yankee fans and Alabama fans.

I don't have a favorite football player but I have a lot of respect
for Don Hutson and Leroy Jordan.

And I tuned the TV to Jerry Rice and Neon Deion if they were playing.
