A deal-making president with no ties or political investment in past policy decisions. As a bonus, he has aparty that will gleefully abandon its supposedly long-cherished principles to support him. Given those tools, what could he do about North Korea?

We know the Chinese prop up North Korea for two main reasons: they don't want millions of starving Nork refugees flooding into their country, and they don't want a Western democracy right on their border. Plus South Korea isn't keen on unification because they saw what it cost West Germany, and North Korea is even more of a basket case than East Germany was.

What if Trump told the Chinese: let's make a deal. If you take over N. Korea and occupy it, we not only won't object but we'll tacitly support you, maybe even help you pay for it. You secure the nukes, keep a lid on the country however you want, and we'll keep the food aid coming.

Past policy decisions are one reason Trump was elected. Responsible
people were fed up with socialistic, immoral policies.

A return to long-cherished policies would be a more accurate
statement. Unfortunately this appears to be an era when such a return
will require overkill.

I think that should be the first attempt.

I dunno. Maybe a Chinese prison, maybe luxury house arrest, maybe left in place as puppet figureheads. I don't really care, it'll be China's problem. Whatever they want.

Assumes facts not in evidence.

There's a HUGE, BIGLY difference in the history
of Germany vs the history of Korea re a united
political entity.

It's crazy thinking like that that led Kennedy to drag Murica into Vietnam
so that he could laugh as thousands and thousands of American children
died all while they lied. Liberals!

...just like you do stating you are a combat veteran. Being on rsfc
doesn'r count as even a combat area.

There is an even bigger difference in you bleating you served in an
undeclared war hat we only tied when I served during a declared war
that we won. Were you really PFC Mouth?
