Not bad. Not stellar, but no face plants.

Doing a good job of correcting our foreign policy.

Doing a good job of minimizing the liberal press (seems unable to ignore a personal attack).

A fairly centrist track thus far.

No one has touched on avoiding the shutdown (jusqu'a moi)...

Good on them. You sometimes have to compromise to win. If
ridiculousest was a word Trump's Wall would deserve it. I don't agree
with sanctuary cities; I know little to nothing about Planned (or
unPlanned) Parenthood.

Cut foreign aid, plus social and health care subsidies by up to 10%
per year, require drug tests and some form of contributive effort from
welfare people, appoint 1 more Justice and Kent State protestors who
block the right of others to pass - that might be all we need to
return his country to greatness from socialism (over time).

He's a wizard at defining truth, objective reality be damned.

Heck, just this weekend I learned from the man himself that it's already been proven that obama wiretapped trump towers. Also that andrew jackson was really against the civil war. He couldn't figure out why we couldn't all just get along. Prolly because he'd been dead for over a decade.

Details, details!

Why do folks on the right want me to distrust the media, academics, scientists, researchers, and fact checking organizations?

So they can define reality as whatever is most politically useful.

This is dangerous stuff. If someone can't see that, they're either ignorant of history or so far down the any means necessary path they don't care.

Cheers.

It is truly frightening to think that this is the most powerful person on Earth. A total idot.

LOL. Trump derangement strikes again.

"I mean had Andrew Jackson been a little bit later you wouldn't have had the Civil War."

"a little bit later"

"later"

Failure to both Left and Right.

Left is obvious, but his base on the Right can't think he's remotely going far enough -- being limited by this nasty little thing called a Constitution.

Sure, drew.

Here's the full passage:

“Had Andrew Jackson been a little later you wouldn’t have had the Civil War,” Trump said. “He was a very tough person, but he had a big heart. And he was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War, [and] he said, ‘There’s no reason for this.’ People don’t realize, you know, the Civil War, if you think about it—why? People don't ask that question, but why was there the Civil War? Why could that one not have been worked out?"

"And he was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War". He saw that and was all "there's no reason for this!"

Don't worry. I won't point out the irony around you clearly knowing that "later" refered to being potus, not being alive; that you're obviously familiar enough with this gaff to know a read through the entire passage shows trump thought jackson was alive and then, on the spot, invented an entire narrative where jackson was against the civil war.

That - knowing all this - you then decided to pull out a tiny half sentence of the entire remark and apply ContextAway judiciously - all so you could shape reality to meet your needs.

No worries. I'm used to it. We're all getting used to it. Sad!

Cheers.
