Of course SS is a socialist pyramid scheme. But, one way or another,
poor house or jail, we will have to pay for those who are too ignorant
or too lacking in talent to provide for their future. By my
calculations I am receiving about 1/3 of the amount I would have
received by personal investment vice forced SS.

QUOTE:
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA)
Program. He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be Completely voluntary.
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% (now 7.65%) of the
first $1,400 (now on first $127,200) of their annual Incomes into the
Program.
3.) That the money the participant selected to put into the Program
would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year.
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent 'Trust
Fund' rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore,
would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and
no other Government program.
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as
income.

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent
'Trust Fund' and put it into the general fund so that Congress could
spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and
Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for
Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the 'tie-breaking'
deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President
of the US.

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to
immigrants?
A: Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this
country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never
paid a dime into it!

don't worry, everybody! As you probably have figured out, if Hugh posted it then it's from some email going around among the dimmer.

Social Security discusses all of these and debunks them.

Show me where the quote above was debunked (you said all) or I'll
state you are a lying shit for brains.

Well maybe you just lack sufficient intelligence to be precise.

This whiny old fuck has collected plenty from SS and still complains.

While he may have had a successful career, he expects the rest of
America to do the same and be totally self-reliant. That just does not
happen. He should be happy that commies like FRD, JFK, and LBJ
established programs wherein the beneficiaries pay into their own safety
net. Seems like a common sense program to me.

What really bothers folks of Hugh's ilk is that fact that someone in the
US may receive a benefit that they did not completely earn.

I hope that really burns his ass.

I've said before that I would give up my SS if it meant that my children
didn't have to take part in it.

No complaint - just facts. I could have drawn almost exactly 3 times
as much without SS as with it. Fortunately I don't need the money.

Sans a handicap that prevents it that's EXACTLY what I expect. I have
a low tolerance for incompetence.

I am. I was happier when we volunteered rather than by force of
government. Competence doesn't always require force - liberalism does.
Ever wonder why that is?

Delete "completely" - best effort is good enough. That's all any of us
can do.

>I hope that really burns his ass.

You just don't get it. I don't need it to be better than it is. Truth
be known I probably have the best attitude and am the happiest person
here.

I thoroughly enjoy the fight - too bad I'm too old to make it physical
any more.
