Judge Gorsuch has now been sworn in as President Trump's first Supreme Court Justice. What a grand day for free speech, religious freedom and America! President Trump has delivered on yet another campaign promise.

Not only is Justice Gorsuch one of the most qualified Justices, he is also the youngest at age 49.
With any luck, President Trump will get to appoint three (3) more Justices during his first term in office.
Here is the current make-up of the Supreme Court.

Conservatives:
Gorsuch, 49
Roberts, 63
Alito, 67
Thomas, 68
Kennedy, 81*

*There is a very good chance Kennedy will retire in the next few months so President Trump can appoint a younger Conservative Justice to replace him.

Liberals:
Kagan, 56
Sotomayor, 62
Breyer, 79*
Ginsburg, 84*

*There is a chance Breyer will retire since the average age of Supreme Court Justices’ retirement
has been 79. There is also a strong chance Ginsburg will die, or be forced into retirement for medical reasons, during Trump’s first term.

So, the outlook for the Supreme Court is very positive for America
and provides another reason to wake up every morning and thank God
Hillary Clinton and the Democrats lost the election!

Obama’s legacy is President Trump.

Isaiah 40: 15-17

15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket;
they are regarded as dust on the scales;
He weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.
16 Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires,
nor its animals enough for burnt offerings.
17 Before Him all the nations are as nothing;
they are regarded by Him as worthless
and less than nothing

I am very certain that God cares very little about politics...the
USA...or any other country.

Technically, you are correct. On the other hand, Hill-Dog eats muff any
way she can and any time she can. God didn't particularly like the whole
scene that comes along with homosexuality and therefore banned it.

When God says it's fucked up to be a fag or lez, it's probably for a good
reason. You know, they do spread disease. I guess one could conclude
that God helped Trump by making Hill-Dog a slurping old hag.

I disagree. It's getting too close to the end of this Presidential term for Trump to be nominating Supreme Court Justices. At this point, the only fair course of action would be to wait and allow the next President to make any needed Supreme Court Justice nominations.

In article <oiour8$ktt$1...@dont-email.me>,
So you will cleave to the Good Book and eschew politics.

You quote from about the most incomprehensible book, Isaiah.
About the only theme is authoritarianism.

Isaiah 40:10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and
his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and
his work before him.

That only applies to the last year, and especially the last year of a COIC.

I suppose it's good for losers to still have hope.

No, because the gop controls the senate(and hopefully has a bigger margin after 2018). If you control the senate, it is never "getting too close" to the end of a term. Heck if RBG passes away in late decemeber 2020 Trump will make a nominee and there will be a special session called that same day to approve it.

OTOH, if a democrat wins the white house in 2020 and the gop still controls the senate, it's already on day 1 of that dem president's term 'too soon' to it ending because the GOP will just block block block.

Until the dems get control of the senate again, the dems may never appoint another scotus justice. Which is fine by me.
