Face-wise, she makes Sarah Jessica Parker look like a model of healthy proportion.

What am I missing? Why are the wingers suddenly posting about someone who made a career as a D-list celebrity?

If Kathy G has a "career" as D-list celebrity, maybe there is still
hope for me to become a F-list celebrity.

Ch - I think this is a pretty good spot to discuss how the similar despicable actions (implicit AND, lol) were received.

Griffith was immediately called out by a crapton of politicians and talking heads on the left. Lost her job at that "left wing operation", cnn. And was cajoled by her peers to issue an almost immediate apology.

Nugent had a sharp uptick in record sales, was treated fantastically on several visits to fox news shows, kicked off a nationwide tour, and was invited to a personal meeting with trump in the oval office.

So, like - I'm OK with how folks on the left reacted this week. How do you feel about the reaction to nugent from the right?

Cheers.

Not thrilled - nor was I thrilled w/ the Obama effigy crap that went down - nor am I thrilled by a freakin' decapitated head etc etc etc etc

And as good as the actions of the above are to decry this kind of crap, there's an awful lot of people who are supporting Griffith too - like Sen Franken who, yesterday, iterated his upcoming gig with her.

I don't know if I agree with "an awful lot"; especially relative to the many who immediately reacted negatively.

Follow-up question. Has nugent ever apologized? Has anyone on the right ever asked him to?

I like that this happened because the main response I saw on the left was shaking heads (ha!), "no no no", "wtf?". I hope that means in spite of being creamed up and down left and right in elections since 2010, most progressives haven't widely adopted the old "any means necessary" mentality.

My conservative friends and family aren't my #!!$ing enemies. They're people with the same basic motivations I have - raise good kids in a society structured to reward folks willing to work hard - they just have different ideas about how to get there.

And I know most all of them feel the same way about me, even if they got pretty frothy from 2008 - 2016.

(Of course I tend to avoid True Believers from either side - them folks that think they have all the answers (or can find them in *a* book) are terrifying - and most of my conservative peeps are fiscons, not crazed luna^H^H^H^Hsoccons).

Cheers.

most of us on the right don't consider ted nugent anything more than an attention seeking idiot who is completely irrelevant and whose music was terribly even 3-4 decades ago when he was a B/C celebrity then.....

we're not going to ask someone to apologize who we don't care about and doesn't represent or speak for us.

Most of my conservative extended family does appear to be soccons. Their main concerns? That Target is going to mix toys instead of having boys and girls toys, that gays aren't allowed to marry, if they even exist, and that the North contained the real slave-holding states and the south was about to release their slaves. And that Kaepernick kneeled for the national anthem.

Most completely irrelevant people don't get an invite into the Oval Office from the POTUS. Or consider running for the U.S. Senate as a GOP candidate:

And another one this week. Not family. His biggest concern about Lebron James getting the N word painted on his fence was that he probably has rap music in his car where they use the N-word derivative.
