1) TCU at SMU- TCU hasn't had to give all that many points lately to dreadful teams. Maybe that's because they arent very good? They failed to cover against kansas in a woeful performance, and then needed a last second drive to cover(sort of the reverse of a backdoor cover) against dreadful virginia. Im going to take them here against SMU, who is truly dreadful.

Pick: TCU, -16.5, 3 units

2) Virginia tech vs Cincinatti- Virginia tech is not a good team, but six and a half points?? Against cincinatti? Jesus, that seems low.....there arent that many bcs teams I wouldnt give 6.5 against cincinatti. I know I said that abut the pitt pick, but...

Pick: vatech, -6.5, 3 units

3) Mississippi at Alabama: RTR. Alabama against bcs opponents ATS has been ridiculously good.

Pick: Bama, -31, 3 units

4) FSU at South Florida: maybe fsu is for real? South florida certainly isn't....the fact that this line is 16.5 indicates people dont really buy FSU....

Pick: FSU, -16.5, 3 units

5) Clemson at Boston College: Historically, this kind of road game against a terrible ACC team following a deflating loss is a game Clemson not only fails to cover, but flat out loses. We'll see. That defense is pretty bad.

Pick: Clemson, -9.5, 3 units

6) South Carolina at Kentucky: Kentucky is one of the worst football teams in all of college football.

Pick, South Carolina, -21, 3 units

Pick, Ohio, -23, 3 units

If you hit across the board, you'll score 21 units, which will put you
well on your way towards your goal of ending up +60 on the year.

I see you stopped varying your bets. I think that's a good decision.

Cheers.

yeah....at least for now. Those two plays(vatech and LSU losing) really represent most of my losses this year.

i think i will have a policy at least for a while where I dont make big plays with ROAD double digit faves.....

I dont think the road angle had a great impact in the vatech game because pitt is a dead nfl stadium, but in the auburn game you could see mettenberger rattled with that atmosphere.

Once again, Iowa is giving points where they shouldnt be....I'm not as
confident vs Minnesota, but I wouldnt argue if you took Minnesota (+7)
over Iowa. Iowa has lost two in a row to the Gophers and their new
coach seems to have some traction, while ours.......does not.

Dam I was going to bet some of these games, but now I don't know if I will.
I noticed you are using part of my betting method of betting against real bad teams. I guess when you are -23 units after just 4 weeks you need to change the way you pick games to bet on

You sure do play a lot of ACC games, for someone who claims to have no
interest in the ACC.

Living in B'Ham he probably bets on the dog races at Eutaw. But that
doesn't mean they can play football - but it could mean that some
football teams are dogs.

The best thing about those dog races is when the inside dog loses
traction and wipes out the whole field.

The only better thing you will see in life is weiner dog races.

Surprised you ain't looking at Wiskey v. 'Skers. Line is Nebr by 12
and I just don't see it. Problem is, I can see Nebr winning by 20 or
losing by 20.

line is now 13-13.5 I think....wisconsin is pretty bad. Nebraska is pretty mediocre. Figure 7ish pt difference there. Homefield 4 pts. Thats 11. A no play....

UMass has moved up to FBS starting this year. They are in the MAC. They are one of 4 new teams in FBS this year. Along with South Alabama, Texas State and UT San Antonio.

Well, at least it's easy to see why he feels that he has to "take some
credit" when he gets something right. Cumulative for the year -50 yet?

Indeed. I don't believe for a second that he's picking deliberate
losers, but he does seem to have a talent for swallowing hype and
Claven-style "everybody knows" nonsense to the exclusion of all else.

2010, if you care to know. I believe Glapski did the same, though he
did it far more many times than I did. I'm not saying I bet against
every pick the kid made, but he was a useful indicator. By all means,
believe whatever you want... makes no difference to me. Cheers!

He is the worst talent evaluator for football that I've ever seen. Of
course, a lot of the time he's simply trolling, but his evaluations are
just amazingly bad--mostly because he lets emotion override reality.
That's a recipe for disaster when trying to beat Vegas.
