Bailout passed, but rumors are flying that the banks will not accept the
funds and will attempt to ride it out on their own. That has disaster
written all over it.
Increase in terror attacks all over the globe in the past two weeks with
most occurring at sites of American interests.
Less than one month until the US elections and the negativity is getting
worse by the day.
Germany just said they will guarantee all private bank accounts, in a last
ditch effort to stave off a run on their banks.
There are a ton of blogs/forums pointing towards the next five days as a
possible tipping point, with 10/7 being the focus date. Get through these
next five days without a major crisis occurring and we should be able to
stay afloat during the recession. Have a crisis hit (economic, natural
disaster, terrorism) and expect economic ruin, martial law and a long and
lengthy worldwide depression.
I promise you, if one of the above happens, the US elections will be
postponed and we'll have another 6-18 months of W.
I really don't need to read junk like this as I'm about to get on a
trans-Atlantic flight tomorrow. Shush!

"Your reality is what you make it, and no one has the right to impinge
their version of the truth upon you. Reject those who would seek to do
so, and welcome into your life those who see your version as a
complement to their own."
It's serious and worth preparing for. Take along some extra cash because if
there is an economic collapse, credit cards and bank cards will be
worthless. Would suck to be stuck in another country.
Not going to happen. W's term ends at noon Eastern time on 1/20/2009.
Only a change to the Constitution changes this. If there is no
election for some reason, I wouldn't be surprised if the state
legislatures try to select their electors - note that nothing in the
Constitution or the United States Code says anything about popular
vote having any say in a state deciding who gets how many electors;
only that each state decides how its electors are chosen - so they can
select a President anyway. If worse comes to worse and there is no
elected President or Vice-President at noon on 1/20, whoever the
Speaker of the House is becomes "acting President" until one can be
elected.
(And negativity is going to increase, for one very simple reason; like
it or not, negativity works - we know why we should elect you, so tell
us why we shouldn't elect your opponent.)
Meanwhile, don't count out the possibility of a terror attack days
before the election - it happened in Spain a few years ago, and a
troops-in-Iraq government that most people felt was a lock for
re-election got voted out.

San Franciscans, vote YES on Proposition R - for so as
George W. Bush got the sewage out of Iraq, let his name be
associated with getting it out of San Francisco
Yeah, the Democratically-controlled congress would have *no* problem
with this, and W sure does look like he wants to stay a while longer.
What makes you think the cash would be worth anything?

Obviously, when he says "cash", he doesn't mean U.S. Dollars...
Then again, if it's a worldwide collapse, perhaps gold is the way to
go.
Dear Lord Almighty, PLEASE don't let Germany have another
depression....
Jason "We've all seen THAT movie" Todd
The Web Bot (heard of it? It has been surprisingly accurate at times)
predicts something major between 10/7 and 10/15, orders of magnitude greater
than 9/11. Really strange..

Heard of it? It's what the entire post was based on!
Tough to mention that sort of thing outright when you're trying to make a
post that is at least superficially serious, though.
