wasnt the first, wont be the last.

When I was in elementary and middle school and we had to do all the
drug awareness classes, cocaine was the most scary drug, and it seemed
to be always held up as an example of *the* serious drug.

Today I think IV opiates have that distinction, but as today's events
show us, cocaine can send you to the morgue as well

How weird can it get?

When I was in school we never talked about drugs and didn't have a
problem. We started talking about drugs and VOILA! you have the
problem.

Same thing for unmarried females with bastards. They kept out of sight
back then; now they are glorified.

Okay you mention blacks and separate schools. They were a lot closer
to equal back then than now when the kids from many responsible
families go to vastly superior private schools. Some of the private
schools do admit blacks further diminishing the average caliber of
student in the public schools.

It seems that the available evidence points toward legal drugs - ativan,
valium, and xanax as the more likely cause of death.

I just heard on TV that alcohol was also likely involved. Actually, all
illegal drug deaths totaled together are small compared to the deaths from
tobacco, alcohol, and prescription drugs. I'm talking about just deaths
from the direct use of the substances, not, i.e., drunk driving deaths.
