There is an old saying that if a million monkeys
typed on a million keyboards for a million years,
eventually all the works of Shakespeare would be produced.
Now, thanks to Usenet, we know this is not true.
Beating us by a bajillion points isn't enough for him so he's got to
make up crap like this?? Bo Pelini has called Gary Pinkel to ask
which player it was...If Chase Daniel is not willing to name names
then he's a pathetic liar.

It's not like he swung a helmet at him or something-

He's a softie from Southlake who wouldn't stay on the field
if the system weren't built to compensate for his lack of
talent. I'm surprised he didn't end up at Tech.

What a piece of shit. IMHO, his status just took a huge drop. Why is he so
pissed off at the Huskers? Maybe they didn't pamper his ass and recruit him
properly, or at all.
I wonder how Warren Buffett feels about this?

Ethics in sport's jounalism is a problem here. ESPN seems to be anxious to
jump all over this story, and yet, it seems all they have is one person's
word.
Heiman
ESPN didn't say someone spat on Daniel. ESPN is quoting Daniel saying
someone spat on him. There is a difference.
Jon
I think this is about the assraping Mizzou put down on the 'skerz and
Daniels annoyance that we didn't douche first?
Yeah that's pretty much how I see it. Herbie's been using his big ole
cob on the non-Sooner Big 8 schools for years. He's not used to being
on the receiving end.
Jon

Thanks, but I didn't need you to repeat my post.
There is a difference.

No kidding. Why would you infer otherwise? Thank you Rich Hammett!

I am sorry. I didn't think I needed to connect the dots because you
supposedly have progressed beyond the 3rd grade.
They are not making up or embellishing a story. They are simply
reporting what was said. Therefore, there is no problem with "ethics
in sports journalism."

i can see why BP would rather discuss 'dirty plays' than the abysmal
play of his huskers team saturday night.

Like I said, there is no ethics. No collaboration, no verification and no
reason to spread a rumor. That is not journalism IMHO!
Thanks to ESPN, the Huskers are guilty/smeared until proven innocent which
is next to impossible as no suspect has been named. Daniel has exposed
himself as a piece of shit.

Jon
HE QUOTED HIM!!!!
What...you are not allowed to *quote* someone unless you can verify
what he said is true???
You really are a moron.
Jon
This is one of the major problems I have with our current political
system. One side says something outrageous, the news repeats the
comment to the other side and asks them to respond like it was already
fact. Instead they could find out if what was said first had a basis
in fact, before giving it credence by asking for a response.
Well what else was he going to do with it.
But that isn't quite what happened here. He was quoted at a press
conference. What was the press supposed to do? Thoroughly review the
game tapes before they published the quote?
This is just silly.
