no, rodgers sorta is.....
I mean he throws for 340 and 3/0 type of lines against horrendous
teams, then throws an abortion of a game(even though his qb rating is
usually good....figure that...hehe) against good teams.....
if he wants to be a top level nfl qb(and I think he can be), he needs
to step it up against decent competition.....and I dont mean step it
up by having a nifty qb rating against decent competition in a game
they lose by 10 and he took 3 bad sacks in that killed drives and
boosted his qb rating in the 4th qtr in......

dude, thats *exactly* what Im saying.....he was horrific in those games
(especially the first, less so in the second)....and yet he posted
"pretty" qb ratings........
see my post several weeks ago when I said that it's almost like
rodgers is *thinking* about his qb rating when he decides to take a
bad sack, or when he decides to throw a ball away on third and 6 down
10 pts when there is a tight window to throw it in.......
I mean favre just completely(as much as I hate to say it since Ive
been proven wrong about favre this year) destroyed him......favre
actually *made* plays in those games when it mattered. What was
rogers doing when it mattered? either taking bad sacks when he had
time to throw it away(but hey a sack doesnt hurt the qb rating!) or
throwing for garbage yards after the game was over......
I was so on the rodgers side of the whole thing before the season
started, but he was an abortion in those minnesota games(if you
know...winning the game is more important than fantasy stats)......

abortions......thats why I thought favre was toast. he(at least to

the vikings are a better team, but rodgers did have better wideouts
coming into this year(by far actually)........I mean really, who the
hell was sydney rice before favre started throwing him 50 yard darts?
Rodgers is just too tentative. You want to be tentative if you are up
10 against a team you are better than at home. Definetely.
But in each of their 4 losses this year, he's had chances at each
point to make a play and has decided to either:
1) take a sack
2) throw it away
And again, when you're ahead against an inferior team thats fine. but
when you are down 1 td to a team with similar or slightly better
talent early in the 4th qtr, that is the time to make a play.
I mean we'll see.....if they keep going at their current pace(they
have a ridiculously easy schedule) they will be a wild card team. But
when they play at new orleans or at minnesota should they get there,
is he going to hold the ball too long and take a bad sack at a key
time or actually trying to make a ******* game changing play?

doesn't. His best games were against not only the Lions and Browns,
but the Cowboys and Vikings.

Favre shouldn't even be part of this discussion, because I never
attempted to compare the two. Furthermore, it is completely to
Rodgers to hold him to the Favre standard. Steve Young suffered in
comparison to Joe Montana, but that shouldn't take away from the fact
that Young was a very good NFL quarterback.

I acknowledged the good lines, but I also made note of the fact that
they were never really in either of those games(well the home game
they sorta were), mainly because of their porous defense and also
because of rodgers bad decisions.......

fave(before this year) was horrific 3/4 years....I dont think that is
an unreasonable standard to hold someone to.

bzzzt....young was a *great* hof caliber qb. just not the best ever
(as montana was).
Rodgers needs to step up and make a few ******* throws and win a game.

I was rooting for the Vikings in both of those games, and wanted Rodgers
to perform terribly in each. He didn't perform poorly in either, and in
fact was pretty damn near brilliant in the second game. You don't have
the slightest clue what you're talking about, period.

Yet again, you don't know what you are talking about. Favre didn't
put a beat down on Rodgers. He put a beat down on the Packer's
defense. Although it is playing better now, that defense, along with
the horrific offensive line play, are the reasons why Minnesota won
those games.
Switch the quarterbacks and the results are the same.

I'd rather have a better line and running game than better
receivers. A better defense is pretty nice, too.
