What's so great about this quote is that it only needs to be slightly altered and you can apply it to Bush. In fact, it refers to any president in the past and any president in the future.

That's because Obama did a much better job with Sandy than Bush did
with Katrina.

I partially disagree with this. Obama has as many awkward pauses and
"uh, uh" interjections as Bush. And I've criticized him for that on
many occasions. But when Obama does get the words out they are
usually correct and grammatical.

Couple of points - A) why push back so hard? Why not say "Yeah,
they're small troublesome things. I'm glad this is the worst we've
got" B) We just lived thru 8 years of daily outrage under W - the
president who could do nothing right and it still being blamed for
everything - so pardon my somewhat jaundiced eye. And yes, prior to
that, 8 years of Clinton hysteria. Before that, Reagan had more than
a few critics. Rinse, lather, repeat.

I agree with your metapoint about "crying wolf" - quite applicable to
a number of venues.

If unemployment had been dropping, business had been increasing, and
small business investing and hiring -- this meme might make sense.

But in fact, we have had an historically weak recovery to a recession
brought upon by record spending and deficits, and record increases in
regulation. When you add overreach in existing regulation as shown by
the culture of the IRS, it is clear that the ongoing complaints about
Obama were warranted.

Times are not good, folks. They could have been a lot better if we hadn't
shot our wad paying off unions with things like Cash for Clunkers, the
stimulus, and the GM bailout. Add the massive boat anchor of Obamacare,
and this administration has been a disaster. I think now that it may be
coming home to some.

the job. It's just a relocation, like Versailles or Balmoral.

And complaining about Bush's vacations instead of torture, lying us
into wars, etc. was what I'd call a "sideshow".

This is why today's Republicans hurt themselves by yelling about
nothing, foaming at the mouth and feigning outrage. Instead of
focusing on the expansion of war into countries we're supposedly not
at war with, or drones killing enough people that we create more new
terrorists than we kill, they're screaming about pointless stuff that
only the Breitbart crowd cares about. If I liked Obama I'd laugh at
how feeble they are.
