The midwest rsfc contingent has discussed the matter and is convening at
my pad in Chicago on 7-19.
This will be a backyard (and I use the wordlet "yard" loosely) BBQ deal.
Bring something dead and something liquid (I'm too borked to feed all
y'all).
I'm thinking mid-afternoon (say 3:30-ish?) until whenever everyone feels
like leaving (experience tells me that's usually around 1 am or so).
Feel free to convince me that other times are better.
Speshul bonus occasion: It's Tom O'Brien's birthday weekend, so we're
getting him drunk and dressing him up like Mike Price's date. Bring
your digital cameras.
I'm not posting all my home info here (although if you're smrat you can
just find it), so ifn you rsfckers from other parts of the country wanna
come, you have to e-mail me to ask for directions. ROT-13 to e-mail,
natch.
Come and see just how much a 34-year-old woman can manage to live like a
19-year-old frat boy!
(Note: This is *not* the super-mega-ultra-fishyball with live music and
free eats that I've been promising for, like, a year now. For various
reasons, that's being postponed, though I'd look for it next summer
probably.)

No thanks, that would be sort of pathetic.

Wait 'til she breaks out the Mickey Mouse ears and the battery-

If I leave at, say, noon the following day, you'll be a lot happier.

ODL!!!!!!!!
I hope you didn't buy a gay car.
A 34-year-old woman, living a 19-year-old frat boy lifestyle, driving a gay
car, named Colette, would be almost too much to take.
On second thought.

She must be living like a 19-year-old SIGMAN GNU fraternity guy.

Black ZX2. I don't think it's particularly gay, as there are about 5 of
them parked on my street, and you pretty much get beaten or shot for
being gay around here (I'm amazed my upstairs neighbors are still alive
and fuckin'... they have a Cherokee, btw).

Well, I *am* planning on drafting Eddie Izzard if the draft would ever
make its damn way to me, and I'd probably snap up RuPaul next. I'm
half-gay already.
Oh, BTW I will not be in attendance. I am actually free on that day,
but I can imagine this conversation.
Me: I'm going to head to Chicago on Saturday the 19th.
Wife: OK, where are you going?
Me: I'm going to spend the day at some woman's house whom I never
met, drinking beer and eating BBQ with a bunch of people I've only
talked to over the internet.
Wife: Fine...make sure you're not home until Sunday so I have enough
time to get all the furniture out of the house and enter some kind of
protection program.

Is it cold up there on 7-19?
Would it matter if I had a penis, or are you/she just weirded out by the
general idea of meeting netfolk?
Not that this should matter to your or wife at all, but I'd understand
the latter. The former would irritate the hell out of me.

Actually, it's been pretty damn cold around here. Could be some
shrinkage.

Damb... I sure don't need THAT.
Dewd, just carpool with the Rev and me....you can honestly say you
will be in attendance with a Lutheran pastor......
BTW - when in the heck are you going to make a coffee with Mark and I
anyway?

That is, BTW, if I could actually get to Chicago in a month for it,
which I unfortunately cannot. You can't get to Chicago from Charleston.

The world is round! You can always get there!
The latter. In fact, I think if I was going to "Colette's house" and
Colette had a penis, that would scare her more.
