I hope the sorry bassturd who gets mine at least wins the lottery with
all the lotto tickets he's going to buy with it.
Then I hope he loses it all to his soon to be ex-wife.
Then I hope she buys a trailer with it and it burns to ground.

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very
well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive,
we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build
your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a
gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will
follow ours." (General Sir Charles Napier)
You sound bitter...
Are you bitter?

You misspelled braggard.

This is a very nice wallet, Mr Rogers. Can you let me hold a dollar?

"I before E except after C, and E before N in chicken"
After paying the AMT I haven't gotten anything back in several years.
But I'm so happy because it pays for the bush war machine that is
doing so much for me.

Eggs are really good for you. They have all the nutrition needed to make a

If you haven't got a refund it means that you didn't give the government
an interest-free loan. If I ever get a big refund check it means I did
something wrong.
Ken
IAWTP. In reality you're doing it right if you have to pay the
maximum amount before a penalty/interest.
I agree and I get back about $2000 + or - every year.

Interest on $2000 is $200 or less. That's pocket money. $2000 is not
enough to invest and it's nice to have $2000 to blow when I get the
refund check. But I wouldn't overpay enough to get 5 digits back -
that is enough to invest - and too much peace of mind.

I'm pretty sure he's already converted it into Euros.

Hugh, you must be one rich old coot. The day I consider $200 to be
mere "pocket money" or $2000 to be "not enough to invest" is the day I
get put in my grave...
Get off the tit.

I don't really know what "rich" is. I do all right compared to a
person on welfare but I'd be poor folks to Bill Gates - and to several
people who retired from the same company I did.
Retired people don't need as much as young working people. You don't
pay SS and Income Tax is usually less. KY doesn't tax retired pay.
I retired at age 59, not because I was rich, but because I could make
as much retired as working. Interest rates were about 10% and I could
lock in my IRA for 10 years at that rate. The house is usually paid
for and the children are on their own (more or less). I spent 33 years
in the military (31 in the non AcDu Reserve, 10 of those on non-pay).
It pays what Medicare doesn't pay and for vastly reduced cost drugs
plus a pension. I started preparing for retirement when I was 17 years
old and work promotions came pretty fast.
We are fiscally conservative - the Lincoln and Jeep are 8 and 9 years
old and less than 65,000 miles. Who cares what the neighbors drive!
And the government has provided a safety net for people. Few people
are willing to work hard enough to fail!
Hugh
My answer to that question depends on what year's tax return they'll
use to determine the rebate. Will it be 2006 (screwed) or 2007
(finally, something good financially from wife's decision to retire
early)?
I Feel Your Pain (ever since I got married I haven't got a refund)....
I was wondering what the hell I did wrong....)
Mrs Mookie
You are obvusly one of the greedy rich.
