Big deal - unless the AFCA also says that if the BCS strips USC of a
title, then the AFCA strips USC of it as well. (Going by a strict
reading of the NCAA bylaws, the BCS title is about as "meaningful" as
the 39th Avenue Tuesday Afternoon Bridge Club, Sewing Circle, and
College Football Ranking Agency - it's the AFCA national championship
(which goes to the winner of the BCS Championship Game, but they don't
say what happens if they later have to vacate that win) that the NCAA
cares about.

What're they going to do -- unplay the game?
If I pop my DVD in and the score turns out to be something other than
55-19, then I'll start to worry about it.

Your descent into SoCal Bammer continues.
Pathetic.
They could just revote.

BCS titles mean nothing.
AP titles mean something, since they're the longest, continuous MNC
awarding body in college football.
And seriously, with all the f**kin' cheaters in the history of college
footballs who haven't been stripped of their MNCs ... the BCS is just
amusing with this posturing.
The jealousy of the Pac-10 continues: CONFERENCE OF CHAMPIONS!
Besides, the BCS saying some other organization is crooked is just ...
amusing, at best.
BCS titles mean nothing.
UCLA/STANFORD and the little 8.

Awwww, you had to take a shot at Cal, huh?
The Bears have 13 water polo titles, so bite us!

Is that the game where Bush illegally pushed the ball carrier?
It really depends on whether the school and/or other team members
knew. at the time, that they were playing an illegal player. If the
school was innocent make copies of your DVD before it wears out. If
the school knew then I suggest a raid of your house to destroy every
DVD you have.
It's really sad when so few people are intelligent enough to
understand the difference.
Hugh
Okay. I propose to take away Reggie Bush's 75 yards and every one of
his TDs in that game. Final score: 55-19 Trojans.
Bush was a non-factor agains OU. Matt Leinart to Steve Smith/Dominic
Byrd/Dwayne Jarrett and LenDale White were the chief offensive weapons
in that game.
-Junior
A VERY slippery slope...
Tennessee's Tee Martin received $4500 from a UT booster as well as the
documented academic fraud that occurred during their 1998 BCS NC
season.
You see where I'm going with this? A lot more could be dug up if the
NCAA wishes to do so.
Fact: Reggie Bush did NOT receive a red cent from either USC or a USC
booster. He putatively received improper benefits from a fledgling
sports agency, of which neither of the two founders of said agency
have ever set foot on the USC campus.
After being investigated by the NCAA for the past four years, if USC
receives no more than a wristslap (I predict only a small scholarship
reduction), then USC probably runs the cleanest program in FBS.
HTH.
-Junior
No. That is the game when they snotfucked OU in the BCSNCG (the FedEx
Orange Bowl) in Miami.

Nah. I have most Trojan games on DVD for the past few years. No
biggee.

You're so cute when someone actually goes after U$C, unkie.

Thanks, Bryan. That means a lot to me, coming from you.

Feel free to point it out when I respond to any posts about my team and
the response is out of character and over the top as is the crap above.
Your childish responses to the Damoclean punishment which awaits your
beloved Trojans - if only the NCAA will show the courage to break the
horsehair - just add to the enjoyment of said eventual comeuppance,
which many see as long, long overdue.
The writing is on the wall, with the darkest imprint that being the one
made by Pete Carroll when he got out while the getting was good. The
sooner you accept it and stop attacking everyone who dares to recognize
that which you yet cannot, the less crow you'll have to eat later.
Lots of conjecture, but sadly for your potential schadenfreude/glee,
it's all based in no facts, whatsoever.
Unless, of course, you sat in on the NCAA meetings with USC back in
February...

Escapist, delusional, Clintonian defense. Every single fan who is
paying attention and who isn't a Trojans fan knows what's what, and most
of you lot do as well. Some of you are dishonest enough to shriek and
whine that unless it can be proven to the same standard as that required
for a murder conviction, the program is clean. A sad, pathetic joke.
More baseless paranoia/crapola. You can believe whatever you want,
Bryan. Bush/Bush's parents putatively received financial benefits
from two sports agents who have absolutely NO association with USC.
None. Nada. Zero. Zilch. Zippo. Uh-uh. And there's nothing there
for you or the NCAA can do to connect the dots. All your ranting and
crying ain't going to change it, either.
I'm waiting for the ruling... just like everyone else. When it
happens, we'll see who eats crow.

If U$C knew about it, and only an idiot would argue that their staff is
so blind and stupid as to not have known about it, it doesn't matter.
Pete the Cheat saw what you cannot, and that's why he's gone.
The only thing left to be seen is if the NCAA has the guts to do what
they should and hand down *severe* punishment.

I hope you have a big plate and plenty of napkins
Most importantly, if USC has to vacate their wins in 2004 does that
mean that Cal will be named the outright Pac10 champion for the first
time in over 50 years? Cal's only conference loss that year was to SC.
There is enough criticism to go around. I just dare you guys to criticize
my beloved Notre Dame.

Well, would we need to defer to Mikey Boy in how crow is best made? He
seems to eat it so often that I'm certain he's an expert in preparing it.
