Two fine choices. I'll throw in. . .
Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills
Pantera - Cemetary Gates
-goro-
"War Pigs" is much betterer
I'll throw Judas Priest - Electric Eye into the mix
Would have been my choice....
Peach
Ooh....another good one. "Walk" is also good...good and angry.
Peach
"Caught in a Mosh" Anthrax....another choice.
Peach
Heaven and Hell is Sabbath's best song.

I'm partial to Snow Blind
From my days as a drummer in a cover band in college, these songs wore
on me to the point that if I ever thought about them again, it would
be too soon. Walk, F*cking Hostile, A New Level. Enough, is enough.
I sweat just thinking about them.
Testament - Alone in the Dark

Where's the love for "All Night Long"?

Well, to me it's just the overabundance of noise.
Pointless cacophony, if you will.

A lot of metal (rap too) is like that for me, but not all
of it.

Great choice...
Paranoid - Black Sabbath
The Trooper - Iron Maiden
Peace Sells... - Megadeth
Master of Puppets - Metallica

Ehhh.. there are 3 or 4 better songs off that same album.

Yes. Which is also odd because many of the metal chycks were kinda
hawt.

Great list--I would pick "Train of Consequences" instead of "Peace

no way! anything from Peace Sells or Rust In Peace RUTS anything from
Countdown and on.
Peace Sells is what made me love metal !

Another killer tune. My #2 Megadeth would probably have to be _Holy

I don't know about that... I think those are their two best albums, but
"Train of Consequences" is definitely better than "Dawn Patrol" or that

ok, you've got a point there. While i liked alot of stuff from
Countdown and Youthanasia (and even a bit from Risk), none of the
songs really hit me like the older stuff. In my mind, Countdown :
Megadeth as Black Album :Metallica.
but at least they didn't totally fall of the cliff like my favorite
band Queensryche did after Mindcrime. ARGH!!

I can't disagree... I'd rate their albums:
1) Rust In Peace
2) Peace Sells...
3) So Far, So Good... So What!
4) Countdown to Extinction
5) Youthanasia

I'd generally agree - except I think the falloff for Metallica was MUCH
more severe.

I don't know... have you heard Mustaine's voice lately? That is one thing

I got "Rock in Rio" (Iron Maiden) and "That One Night - Live in Buenos

Heavy metal *award*. No 's'. And it was highly controversial,
unlike Def Leppard, which ought to be a clue of some sort.
For a pendant, you sure can fuck up big time.
> They absolutely aren't "almost universally considered heavy metal".
Firmly grasping one obvious fact seems to prevent you from
grasping another. Even Jethro Tull recognizes it isn't a heavy
metal band -- "Well, we do sometimes play our mandolins
very loudly."
Def Leppard is a heavy metal band, and you will never admit
you're wrong about this.

I don't believe Def Leppard is considered a heavy metal band by most.

an earring.
