20-43, 213 yards, 1 TD, 4 INTs.

He's terrible. A bunch of real dumbass throws.

he's a rookie....up and down days....he's shown much more promise than
sanchez(another top 5 pick) for example......

time will tell.

"much more" is, of course, an exaggeration. Stafford is rated 28th
among QBs, Sanchez 31st. Change that to "slightly more promise" and
you might have a point.

you have to watch all the games.....sanchez has a decent offensive line
(hell two of his lineman are extremely well paid stars) and clearly
doesnt have a clue out there....

substitute stafford for sanchez and sanchez wouldnt even playing and
stafford would have the jets in playoff position.......

I didnt think stafford would look this good in the pocket for the
lions, but he has.....

Stafford looks like shit. Footwork is terrible. Stares down
receivers. Throws to the wrong spot.

I'm not saying Sanchez is better, frankly I think they both suck.

you're judging them too early....maybe it's the matt ryan thing from
last year(and hell ryan has taken a step back this year).....

I think that(last years ryan and to a lesser extent flacco) clouds a
lot of opinions......

he's what...21-22(?)....he has a cannon for an arm, a good sturdy
build, and we'll see what happens.....

so far he has at times been better than I thought, and at times a
little worse......time will tell.

His line and receivers aren't doing him any favors.

Stafford seems to be doing a bit more with less. How many rookie
qbs light it up?

Again, his collegiate completion percentage is all you needed to know
about this guy's chances as a pro:
57.1%

If he had stayed in school one more year, registered more starts and a
higher completion percentage, he would have really increased his
chances of being a Pro Bowl-level QB.

As is? He'll be out of the league in five years. Watch.

Sanchez should suck; he doesn't have anywhere NEAR the experience
Stafford has in terms of collegiate starts, etc.

Statistically speaking, the two most clear predictors of NFL QB
success are number of college starts and completion percentage:
Stafford has more starts than Sanchez, but Sanchez' completion
percentage was more than seven points higher.

They both hurt themselves by coming out early.

...says the guy who was putting Stafford in Canton before he ever threw
a pass in the National Football League.
