It's hard to knock #1 off its perch when it win, but I say 11 of them
vote Boise State #1.
I wouldn't guess higher than 5. Ultimately, the problem is that they
didn't win against a BCS team and few writers ever vote someone down
if they do win.

I'm going out on a far limb here and say 9. I really hope it's that many,
but since they a) aren't from a BCS conference and b) they didn't beat a BCS
team, it'll probably be closer to 2-3. The things that helped Utah get 16
votes last year were a) beating a BCS team b) going undefeated and c)
Florida having one loss. But I'll say this...each and every writer that
votes for Boise State will get a personally written thank you card from me
in the mail.
No, Boise's problem is that their overall body of work is not nearly
as impressive as Alabama's.
