The wife got me a tripod as a graduation present. Camerawork
won't be so shaky in the future.
The suggestion has already been made to check into a ladder.
I think that's a good idea. Any other ideas/suggestions are
welcome.
I said this in another thread but D-III was a blast. The
quality of this event and getting all these teams together
in one place is going to have serious ripple effects on play
at the D-III level across the country.

If only both teams showed the intensity on Defense the
entire game instead of just the last 2 points...it could've
been a great game.
Markham Sofhner (#90), Claremont's "Callahan" or whatever,
looked lazy as hell on Defense and was trigger happy on
Offense. Wholly unimpressed with his performance, but
congrats to Claremont on the title!
That or this St. John's team, like some others I've played
against, runs a tight rotation and their guys got tired.
But really they lost the game on that one flurry of idiocy
between 6-3 and 7-7. Other than that they looked like a
competitive if not superior team. Ultimates a weird game
because you can dominate for a large majority of the time of
play and still get spanked if the other team gets their
breaks in fast enough.
Seemed to turn on huck completion. In the end Claremont was
able to throw and catch the deeps more consistently--still,
a good game. Both teams had chances to win. Although
sometimes ultimate is more about not losing.
Markham was feeling very sick for the last half of the semi
finals and all of the finals. (likely because he played
almost every point in our tight quarter final matchup
against Harding) Thus, not only was he basically struggling
not to throw up for the entirety of the video, and he was
also trying to hide the fact that he was sick from the team.
Thus, this video does not really give a fair representation
of his performance over the course of the tournament. That
said, this video still has some pretty nice hucks, and a
really nice layout bid. Our defense this year was based on
Tommy and Markham hucking it, so that's why he seems
especially trigger happy.
I do, however, agree with your argument about defensive
intensity. It doesn't match that of the D-I teams. But hey,
that's why we are D-III. From what I hear, this tournament
was far more competitive than last year, so give us a bit of
credit. :p

For instance I don't know if St. John's was much better this
year or something but last year they lost 15-5 in quarters
and then 15-8 in the T-5th place game.
Also, does anyone know if Jonah from Conn College went home
on Sunday for graduation? Without him (and some other
seniors) that team is 5-7 points worse per game.

Seems pretty reasonable/believable.
Bently's seniors were absent on Saturday. And, as one would
expect, they looked much better on Sunday, losing a
heartbreaker on UP in pre-Quarters.
It is true that things look less impressive on video and it
is always cooler to watch a game in real life. Our receiver
Devin Drewry(#15) was the fastest kid in North Carolina in
the 400 in high school and trust me, he is FAST, but it
looks like he's running at a pretty average pace.
My own team, Grinnell, has been having the best year we have
ever had, beating GOP in the fall and losing to them at
Southerns by two in a capped game with one of our best
handlers (and captain) absent.
