that's the quick summary.
3 more pool play rounds tomorrow and final placement games.
some teams want more travels call...and re-enact what they think the
thrower did...but...their re-enactments are never what happened.
killer day...more and more breezy as the day went on....but the sun
was out more later.
tomorrow should be beautiful.
the teams have been most positive about the event.
some want a verbal "double team" so that they know that the stall is
suspended...normally we just suspend the count and signal the "too far
away to stall/double team" signal.
as mentioned, some teams want more travels....and so do we.....
the field site is killer.
i love it.
umass went 2-2
i wouldnt say the field site is killer.. its a great back up site, but
the 10 foot long concrete slabs about 6 inches from the sideline are
pretty not ideal.
other than that, really enjoying another awesome 8''s tournament.
great experience with the observers and the format so far.
Debatable. I heard the fields were ~ 100 yards back line to back line
and only 35 wide. Also, only 2 players from either team can be on the
middle sideline because its so cramped. Plus being an extra 30
minutes from some peoples hotels is kinda annoying
--concrete....no good...obviously.
the site tho...is super duper awesome killer!....as a back up or not!
i got an idea for ya there sean keegan.....be one of the 100s of kids
who accept the warning about them....and NOT the ONE KID that lays out
onto the concrete 3 or 4 times!
yeah...that's right...i heard you were ignoring RULE ONE of the
tournament over there on field 2 during your big upset come from
behind win against ND(i think that's right)
Debatable that i love the site??
the back up to the back up to the back up sites???????
come on dude!
lined by the county workers who had never even seen or heard of
ultimate before???????
the fields are 110 long...so yes, a bit short....and there's room for
more space out the back as is evidence by the distance to the football
goalposts, but we'll work on that for the next event!
i personally, would never take any effort away from Brandon and
Shannon who were out there an hour after we were asked to find a new
site, lining away like champs with nothing but a chicked scratch
drawing of a field to go by.
they even got them there brick marks painted.......
2 players from each team between fields 1 and 2, yes. 1 player from
each team between fields 3 and 4?
what's wrong with that?
prefer today....no athletes between the fields?
ok...done!
wait another hour and a half and you'll get the word.
another 30 minutes from the hotel is annoying?
sorry...we'll try to have them moved closer to your hotel......
or...don't make the drive this morning and we'll go on without you.
send your team tho.
Own up that the fields aren't ideal, don't hand people turds and call
them candy bars.

--bzt.
wrong.
fields were 70...some 75.
endzones were all 22 yards....not sure why, but that's what the county
field painters seemed to like.
2 fields we 36 yards wide.
one was 38 and the fourth 39 yards wide.
not perfect in size....but perfect fields.
i'd host every single tournament there...if it wasn't down the road in
Supply.
