Hello,

My name is Rodger Oakes. Over the past few years, I've been
working with Dale in Versailles to make a smooth transition
in the directing of Poultry Days. After 30 great years,
Dale and his crew are stepping away from the total
responsibility of Poultry Days. I'd like to say thank you
to them for all the dedication and work they have put forth
in creating one of the great ultimate events we have.

Today, February 6, registration is open for the 2012
tournament. It is our goal to make this transition as
seamless as possible. We are hoping that as players, you
don't notice many differences in the way the tournament is
run and played. Dale is going to help us out to make sure
we've got everything set up just right. Those of you that
know me, know I've run a few tournaments in the past...so we
don't believe we'll have too many issues that we can't
handle as we move forward.

It has always been my goal to promote the sport of ultimate
in the best way possible. I hope that running Poultry Days
will help to further this goal. Unlike Dale, I'm not a
native to Versailles. As is the case with most change,
there is some concern from the people of Versailles as we
make this change...and I hope you all can understand that
for this tournament especially, we need to put our best foot
forward. They certainly want to see the tournament
continue, but we are still in a stage of building trust.
And, I hope we can build a relationship that will be able to
keep this great tournament going for the foreseeable
future.

If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please
contact me through the Poultry Days website. You can
register for the tournament there as well. All registration
is done through the website.

Thanks in advance for helping us keep this great tradition
alive.

Sincerely,
Rodger Oakes
Tournament Director

We've gotten a lot of teams submitting bids this year. I
wanted to remind everyone the bid deadline for Poultry Days
is April 1, just a couple weeks out. Your check must be
received in order to finalize your bid.

Looking forward to a great tournament.
