The Wharton Ultimate Frisbee Team would like to invite you to the 2008
Full Moon Tournament on Saturday, April 19! We are very excited to
host this inaugural, co-ed eventand expect players from several MBA
programs in the U.S. and Canada, in addition to you! The weekend will
feature a full day of Ultimate and two nights of fun in Center City,
and is certain to become one of your best memories at Wharton.
Here are some important details:
Schedule
Friday, April 18: Welcome drinks at 9pm in Center City (venue TBD).
Kick back some drinks with your fellow competitors and potential
teammates from both Wharton and other schools. Beer and soft drinks
included.
Saturday, April 19: Ultimate matches from 9am to 5pm, followed by a
closing party starting at 8pm at Tenstone (http://www.tenstone.com/)
on 21st and South St. Drinks and food are included in your fees.
After party for troopers (places TBA, friendship shots included).
Tournament Venue
Chamounix Field (3250 Chamounix Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19131) at
Fairmount Park (directions below)
Tournament Format
The tournament will be run as a hat tournament meaning that teams will
be composed by matching up skill levels of players in order to create
competitive teams. This means you will likely have teammates from
several MBA programs. Teams will have 7 players with at least 2
females on the field at all times. When you sign up please indicate
your skill level from 0-5 (0 being brand new to Ultimate and 5 being
an Ultimate Stud). All participants will have the chance to play
several games, including pool play as well as playoff/championship
games. Games will go to 13 and will include a hard cap after an hour.
Players and partners of all skill levels are encouraged to
participate. We will have ample space for practice throws and quick
tutorials on the game.

Transportation
We will provide shuttle service from Center City to our venue,
Fairmount Park, at various times starting at 8:30am on game day. If
you plan to drive, there will be sufficient parking space near the
field. Driving directions are posted below.
Fee
The fee for Wharton students is just $15. This is a significantly
subsidized rate made possible by the generosity of our Wharton and
corporate sponsors. Your fee includes the following:
- Free beers/soft drinks at the Friday social
- On game day, free beverages courtesy of Glaceau, maker of
VitaminWater and SmartWater, snacks (fruit and bagels) to munch on
throughout the day, and lunch
- A tournament t-shirt (enter your shirt size when registering)
- Transportation to and from Center City and Fairmount Park
- Free beers/soft drinks and food at the Saturday closing party

This tournament is a terrific way for you to participate in the final
school wide athletic tournament of the year. Seize this opportunity
