We are proud to welcome Harvard University Quasar and University of Maryland Helpful Corn to the Division I lineup. Both teams narrowly missed out on trips to the College Championships last year and will be looking to battle the best that the area has to offer as they begin their respective journeys this year.
Don't delay-- get your bids in now!

None at this time. University of Michigan Flywheel has expressed interest in coming and if they commit to attending, we will likely open up a spot for them, as well as a spot for one more team. We want to ensure that the quality of Division I remains as high as possible.
At this time, we have one Division II spot left. Division II teams will have the opportunity to play into the championship bracket. We are currently working on alternate formats and seeing if we can accommodate two more B-Team / HS Teams.
Looking forward to seeing Penn State there. :)

We are exploring the possibility of expanding the tournament and we'd like to gauge interest in making one or both of these divisions bigger. If you would like more information about the tournament, please check out our website: http://phillyclassic.texasultimate.org
We look forward to hearing from you!

I am helping the Penn team run this tournament and Texas Ultimate has been kind enough to donate webspace to host the tournament website. The Texas captains and GB have also been a resource for the Penn captains in terms of figuring out tournament logistics and providing general advice on running a competitive college women's tournament. Patagonia is sponsoring Women's College Centex, Philly Classic, as well as Midwest Throwdown (hosted by the Washington University team) and will be donating a free set of field shorts to the winner of each tournament. Texas, Penn, and Wash U have done a lot of resource sharing in terms of contacts, ordering supplies, securing sponsorships, etc. The hope is that we can create a network of teams who have the know-how to run a well-organized, competitive tournament in their region, so that college women's ultimate will continue to grow and develop even in regions with less resources.
If you want to stop by after your travels in Europe, you're welcome to come help.
We have been able to expand the tournament to 42 teams, and we have space for one more B-Team / HS Team. If you are interested, please email us at: phillyclassic (at) gmail dot com

We are also accepting teams to be on a waiting list in case teams drop out, so drop us a line if you would like to put your team on that list. We are very excited about the quantity and quality of teams coming to this tournament. This event has exploded far past our expectations. The Division I lineup features the best teams in the Metro East and New England Regions, with out-of-area additions University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, University of North Carolina- Wilmington, University of Michigan, and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire also making the trip to Pennsylvania. UNC-CH's March schedule is especially impressive as they will be making the trip out to Stanford Invite and down to Women's College Centex as well.
Thank you for all of your support and interest. As always, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions and/or comments.
