Florida spent a lot of time at the top of the rankings this season,
and despite failing to advance to Nationals and suffering 3 losses at
AC Regionals, they still earned 3 first place votes. Pretty
impressive.
Teams not advancing to Nationals but holding down spots in the Top 20
include: Florida, Oregon, Washington and Notre Dame.
Conversely, 4 teams advancing that failed to earn Top 20 spots
include: Luther, Santa Barbara, Minnesota and Williams.
GREAT WORK by the NUMP Members casting their ballots for the 'end of
the regular season' rankings.
I believe that we are going to offer a NUMP "Nationals Seeding" poll
in a week or so...and after Nationals the Panel will vote on the All
Collegiate Team in both the Mens and Womens Divisions

I'm interested in the rational of people giving Florida first-place
votes. Would anybody care to elaborate?
But Florida was so good the week of April 4th why did they get ranked
so low? These voters must have known they were going to have a rough
Regionals. What's really interesting though is that Florida was no. 1
in the previous NUMP poll and the NUMP poll the next week.
