RSD,

does anyone know Micah Flynn/how to get a hold of him? Check out this
email my dad got today.

Dear Friends & Colleagues,

I'm currently in wales UK for a Ultimate Championship Conference. I am
having some difficulties here because I misplaced my wallet on my way
to the hotel where my money and other valuable things were kept.
Presently I have limited access to internet, I will like you to assist
me with a loan of 2000 pounds to sort-out my hotel bills and to get
back home.

I have spoken to the embassy here but they are not responding to the
matter effectively, I will appreciate whatever you can afford to
assist me with, I’ll Refund the money back to you as soon as I return,
let me know if you can be of any help. I don't have a phone where I
can be reached.

Do you think is actually supposed to be imitating the ultimate frisbee
Micah Flynn? I recognized the name and googled it, turns out he is a
real ultimate frisbee player up in Boston. Pretty frightening that
someone is doing this, but at the end of the email I erased a part
where the guy is posting with his address and all. I'm not even sure
how Micah would or could handle this, but I thought I'd let him know.

I'm surprised it wasn't Nigeria.

Micah is my brother and I just talked to him on the phone.

His gmail account got hacked but he got it fixed with google
and all is right with the world again. He is just fine and
happily working up at NUTC.

Good to hear, Micah.

I received a similar hacked email in early July that was "from" a
relative of mine. It also stated that she was in the UK, needed
money, etc, and included personal information. So this is very much a
scam that that has a pattern.
