Dude, Azusa Pacific in 16th? 16th? Are you kidding me? Once you see
it on paper I bet you realized your mistake.

Well, dude, AP managed a tenth place finish in socal sectionals so
it's going to be tough to get 'em much higher. What moves do you
think should be made? Dropping NAU and Colo-B to 15th and 16th,
getting AP a powerhouse 14th? I bet once degs "sees it on paper"
he'll realize that he knew exactly what he was doing. The one team
that has a solid argument to see their stock rise is Colorado st., at
least above Slo.

idiot! don't bring your nonsense to this blog. AzPa is gettin a bit
hosed here at 16th. look back at the scores and you'll see they lost
a close game to westmont to open the season. the momentum they built
from that near win resulted in them demolishin' nearly every other B
team on the west coast and then some. i guarantee none of those
victories were as big as the win over embry-riddle prescott (which by
the wya, that duder is nothing but a gentleman and the social circles
he entrenches himself in are nothing short of luxurious.) so, given
that information, joseph, you tell me why you think AzPa deserves to
stay at 16th. open your eyes again and acutally look at the paper
timmyD's talking about. didn't you even read it? and maybe you don't
realize what you think Degs will realize. so maybe you better
recognize before you try to realize yourself. that's the solid
argument, which you know nothing about. apologize for your oversights
and i'll let this go and not ban you from the blog. and there had
better be some sincerity.

also, isn't azusa pacific that prison in one of those harry potter
books?

Hey it's Nate from Azusa Pacific. A couple things.
1. Westmont is freaking good.
2. The person who posted that was being completely sarcastic.
3. Maybe we do have a weak schedule but we are working with 4,000
undergrads here at APU and 3,000 of them are female!!
4. Our goal at the start of the season was to make regionals and we
are very happy with our 16th place.
5. I think you better re-read that harry potter book, pretty sure you
are thinking the book titled: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
Azkaban. Okay I will give you that, they both start with Az.

Love

no doubt westmont is freakin' good! surprised not to see them at
regionals, but not nearly as surprised as embry-riddle adn prescott
(thatt firm saved me alot of legal trouble). they won southwest
corporate league several years ago and i think most of those guys
still have elgibility, or negligibility or some word like that.
whatever it is they have it and that's what really surprises me.

i know deafdawg and he was not being sarcastic. perhaps you could,
uh, prove that?

y'all sending a women's team to regioanls? no? then nobody cares
about the ratio -- you dance with who you brought so leave them lady
friends of yours out of this. this is about you and you're shafting
as a 16th seed. someone needs to recognize and you are doing a piss
poor job of such. come on Todd....pa-leez.

forget your goals -- you've attained them. it's all about the
oppression now. a voice not spoken is a voice not heard and y'all are
prisoners in AzPa. i ain't tellin' you how to get your school on the
map, but i guarantee a bit of riotin' will get some people listening.
it's liek when you hit that homerun against the dodgers last year, off
saito, to start that amazing run through the end of the season
(seriously, 21 of 22?!!) and then taht nice run through the playoffs
before we you got jobbed by the red sox....your homerun ignited a city
in fandamonia. hell, that jobber you hit landed just a few rows back
from my season tickets and those first two you hit this year -- right
there too. you ain't 16th in my book. open your eyes and you shall be
set free, or at least seeded better than 16th.

i know the RC and i'll do this for you: i'll stand behind your win
against riddley scott-preston. and i'll do it pro bono. bring the
check to regionals and when you're 15th or even 13th, we can look back
on this over some beers adn then begin the talk of what we'll do about
those 3000 lady friends of yours. in the meantime, get your ass to
practice and start thinkin' about how you're gonna make beleivers out
of all of us. cause after regionals, everyone is gonna be reading the
papers and you'll be the headlines, just like in that prisoner of
Azker Pacifica book where he beurns the one ring to bind them all.

looking at the format: http://www1.upa.org/scores/tourn.cgi?div=18&id=4419
, what's the story with all the bottom 8 seeds flip-flopping within
the snake? Just curious what the reasoning is when that occurs.

In a word, bogus. We had some eligibility paperwork sent by our
school late, even though it was turned in 2.5 weeks b4 the April 4th
deadline. It involved 4 rookies eligibility checks (which were done
separate from the rest of the ~14 players on the team). Anyways, it
wasn't received on time, and so we brought a confirmation email to
sectionals listing that those 4 rookies were eligible students. We
handed that email to the Sectional Coordinator, Dan Chazin (Shy) who
then said and I quote "You are good to go." He did not say (which he
should have), "Those 4 cannot play but the rest of you can." I don't
know if he meant other than he said, but we played 100% legit, and
eligible students. So we are hoping for the best, we did not play any
ineligible players and we were completely honest with the UPA from the
beginning. There was miscommunication and unfortunately mishandling
by our school organization causing the registrar's eligibility
paperwork to not be mailed on time.

The UPA's emails today were a shock to us, and we hope that they use
common reason to see we are abiding by the UPA's rules, and are
unfortunately at a place where the ethical decision is to be lax with
our team, but the "letter of the law" says that we should be DQ'ed.
