Hello Club teams,

We’re happy to announce that the Motown Throwdown will return to its
traditional weekend at the end of July this year. Please mark your
calendars for July 28-29, 2012, and stay tuned for additional details
and an announcement when the bid window opens.

We are very pleased to again hold the tournament at our new site in
Sylvania, Ohio, where we can provide excellent fields, professional
lining, and a shorter drive (relative to the old site) for all teams
outside of Michigan, among other benefits.

We intend to offer Open, Mixed, and Women's divisions, as we
historically have. After receiving a lot of helpful feedback from last
year, we are working with the facility to make improvements and
address a few concerns from last year. Looking forward to our best
event yet, in its 10th year.

Check out the field setup from last year: http://vimeo.com/38676968

We're finalizing a few costs and will open the bid window within the
next couple of weeks. We have taken care of the food restriction that
was somewhat problematic last year. Stay tuned for announcement of
the bid window opening and additional tournament details..
