it's a MUST to take in at least ONE super duper local aspect whatever
city you go to.
madison....buritos as big as your head and state street!
austin...some music and bats flying out of a bridge
breckenridge....running up and down mountains
stanford....mike g walking tour of san fran...coit tower, pier 39,
haight ashbury, the curvy road, all spots in between
wilmington nc....eastern carolina style bbq at casey's
greenville nc....eastern carolina style bbq at parkers
boston....the aquarium and cheers
choptank...laying with feet pointed up the washington monument, ade
watch tv in that big ole chair,
indiana.....running up the stairs of that tower in downtown
indianapolis
oregon or washington.....where ever they have that world famous
'copper river salmon'....i ate that stuff while they were 'running'
suny invite(?).....walking around nycity...sleeping in 3 different
parks after having driven thru the entire night...smelling those nasty
smells and getting dizzy lookin' up at all the tall buildings....
Lehigh Pa....uhm....a friendly's restaurant?????
Baton Rouge.....crawfish, corn and potatoes out of a big ole trash can
the first trip there......steel band, more crawfish etc etc....
Urbana Illinois....the walk between where the Irates were
staying....and where the Seaweed were staying!!!!!!! holla!(not great
sight seeing...)
Tuscaloosa Alabama.....DREAMLAND BBQ!!!!!
of course...everywhere you go....trying to sneak into that big ole
stadium and running the field down and back waving to the imaginary
crowd.......Rutgers, THE Ohio State, Harvard.....a couple
others...couldn't get into indianapolis, but considered pretending to
be parents of some kids going in on field trips....but resisted. the
Alabama stadium....that place COULD be penetrated.....but it'd take
some more figuring
