1. Town is called Verona, not Vernona.
2. The biking is indeed beautiful.
3. Great Dane is good but expensive food.
4. Ian's Pizza is all that and more.
5. My guess for Radical sauce: Some kind of hot sauce mixed
with ketchup. My advice with Radical sauce: eat it.

verona: fixed.
might add in ian's pizza, but since i'm not going.
i do think if you have any enjoyment of biking, it'd be the
way to get around for the weekend, even if the fields are 10
miles from downtown....

Go to the square. See the Capitol. Eat at Old Fashioned. Order fried cheese curds and a #38.

hmm. What is this Cheese Curds and #38 of which you speak?
naw, sounds good. I also think it's worth pointing out that
it's brat fest this weekend. although, i tried to find
things I might actually have time to do. and yeah, beer,
cheese and brats would definitely be happening. I was
saving that for saturday night to watch the nba semi -
finals and sort of chill out... part 2 tomorrow.

Does anybody know if the road in front on the complex is
still under construction? (I hope not, that was 11 months
ago)

Or if there are any food vendors there? I know there is a
sandwich shop (Milo's?) like 500 feet from the entrance.

Is there any word on extra parking? The place got pretty
full when it was just Swiss with 32 teams and no spectators

Any early thoughts on games for Saturday? Ignoring results
from Saturday I was interested in Pitt-UNCW round 1,
Wisco-Harvard Round 2 (and maybe UCF-Luther for random
reasons) Women's Oregon-Minnesota and Wisco-Stanford round
#3 and round 4 just wherever the most drama/importance is.

Please excuse Harry and his high school budget. When he says
the Dane is "expensive" he means that entrees range between
$7-14. He is correct in saying it's good; I'd go further and
say it's delicious.

Ah good. I actually made a good faith effort to find stuff
that I'd go check out if I was there. But my first action
upon arriving would be to ask my peers where to go. And by
"expensive" he means, "quite reasonably priced," and a short
walk from the stadium? I'm down.

I wouldn't say I wasted, but too many years of my
tournaments involved too much plane, car, hotel, soccer
complex, and not enough of the stuff that makes every city
different.

Agreed. Do not avoid the Dane on account of the cost, it
may actually be one of the cheaper meals you can find in
downtown Madison and the price/excellence ratio is
fantastic. Also, order the nachos.

If you're looking for a truly expensive meal then I would
recommend the Tornado Club, a steak house right off the
capitol square. Budget $50/person, but sweet jesus are
those steaks worth it.
