First I would like to congratulate the University of Kansas
on their win at Conference, and admit my bias up front. I
am a proud alumni of Saint Louis University and my little
brother plays for K State. My line of questioning lies not
with the play of the weekend, the well run tournament, but
with the rostering problems and loss of strength bids.
Up front I think the teams that qualified for Regionals
outright (before the bids got pass down because of d3 and
shenanigans) were the teams that deserved it. My concern is
with the rostering problems and the loss of strength bids
that it cost the Ozark Conference. K-State, Oklahoma, and
Oklahoma State all rostered incorrectly during the season so
their results did not count, but were still seeded above
teams that rostered correctly. Had those three teams been
rostered correctly and the

been consistent with

then the Ozarks would have earned 8 bids to regionals. A
large, but understandable number when you see that this
conference, while most likely not nationally at the top
level, is full of parity (See wins by SLU and OK both over
Kansas this season).
Long story short, how are there no penalties for teams that
roster incorrectly? These three teams rostering incorrectly
appear to have cost 3 teams bids, granted two were
themselves, but the third being a team that rostered
correctly, played to seed, but didn't qualify because of a
lack of strength bids that the conference ultimately
deserved. (There's my bias, standing up for my former team)
