In the Open Division, Lane Community College triumphed over UW X 15-7.
LCC's program has only been around for two years, but they already look
very strong, with solid throwers, a couple tall guys, and sleek new
"Team Ramrod" jerseys. I think they even have a Rhino player or two.
Oregon section, look out come April!
In the Women's Division Washington won over... someone. I don't know,
I wasn't at those fields.
In the Open Division Ninals, OSU won a really close game against St.
Olaf. Lucas Marks caught the winning goal on a ridiculous layout
around his defender--the kind of play that's so pretty you wish you had
a camera.
In the annual Ego vs. Ego Alums showcase game the young guys won out
15-12. Maybe with a little hard work they can learn to beat the
Georgia Alums.
OK, the important stuff. Chico won the party easily, dancing all night
like madmen while wearing only socks on their cocks, sharpied-on
bowties, and cigarettes. Also in the running: Humboldt's beer-outfits,
the dude in lettuce pants. Yes, I said lettuce pants. Not in the
running: St. Martin's. In bed by 11:45: UW women.
The team spirit award goes to Whitman for having an exercise bike on
their sideline. That things is pretty neat.
The individual spirit award goes to Chris "Fozz" Forsberg. He knows
why.
Thanks to all the teams for showing up and playing, and my apologies
for the occassional scheduling difficulties. Also, a special thanks to
Whitworth College for being such cool guys and being willing to pitch
in to help with those difficulties whenever possible. You made my
weekend.

i have to agree about the lane cc program. though it's only the fall,
they looked too good not to make it out of oregon sectionals. i think
they are capable of a very solid run on sunday at regionals. that
being said the name "team ramrod" is so two years ago. maybe they
could post on rsd to get some new team name ideas. hopefully, skip
won't overlook them for a possible bid to centex. it would be
interesting to see how they handle higher level competition.
as for other results, gavin do you think it would be possible to post
all of the results? you know pool play, brackets, and the like.
please. these are the things the masses want... don't upset the
masses.
much love,
fozz
I'm gonna be a sport and let the chico men take the title since yes,
they did bring it, and also I don't think i want my team to win a party
where the spirit award goes to Fozz. I mean Fozz...heart of Gold, some
might say handsome, but spirited? it's a sicko world you live in,
Gavin.
Well done Ego and Fugue for another fantastic tournament, brilliantly
pulled off. It is was my 5th and final OFUK, it seems to get better
every year.
But one suggestion: ditch the live band. play some dance music.
There. I said it. Everyone was thinking it- and I said it.
Thank you to everyone for not breaking my house! That was awesome.
I'm sorry the cops came; we should have just moved to the sorority next
door that called in the noise complaint and kept raging. Chico in the
vanguard, obv. Sock troops?
Sadly I had to stop, on four separate occasions, members of a womens'
team from stealing the half-nude print of myself from the downstairs
bathroom. I mean, I really do understand completely. Green-necklace
girl, I almost let you take it. But stealing? I'd be more than happy
just to send you a copy. Email works.
A few other individual awards to:
The U of P player who was, by the end of the night, incapable of human
interaction. I admire the confidence of a man who can hit on girls
when monosyllabic phrases are beyond his capabilities, much less
walking.
The Humboldt squadron who, after realizing both drivers and clothes
were a lost cause, just took off running towards campus.
Anyone who slammed both drinks at the door before leaving to hang out
on the porch.
Peace
Shane
Hopefully people are beginning to realize that all they have to do to
get their team covered is to e-mail me...
Thanks,
Gwen
