Choosing a tourney 101

A couple things to consider before bidding on a tourney.
Do you have to travel to it? if you do then it should be an
established tourney which means:
-A tourney sponsored by locals or a local org.
-It probably shouldn't be a 1st or 2nd year event.
-if it sounds too good to be true...
-A bid process should be clear.
-a refund process should be clear.
-The typical weather pattern
-Housing availability
-What would high quality teams come for; competition, recreation or
both
If you don't have to travel, then you are responsible to ensure as
many of the above to bring as many teams of as high a caliber as
possible.

You got suckered, learn from it and benefit your program by bringing
them back to established tournies. Seek one out in a warm climate
today. There are a bunch o teams out west that could handle the
action.
