My bad. Judging by the number of ostentatious posts littered with
poetically licensed statistics and history lessons, I hadn't a clue
that sanity was allowed/practised/encouraged anymore in this NG.
Alright, fine, I'll relent. I like VVS quite a bit, and was incensed
by a few trolls (as I see them) last week that spammed this NG with
their childishly loud "opinions." Having said that, I realise this
silly post of mine is no better, and really is just as much a waste of
bandwidth and a silly troll-bait; I might as well apologise before too
late and call it quits.

It wasn't a comment on Rahul Dravid who does stick it out on most
tough situations. It was a comment on batsmen in general who seem to
get away rather easily when the goings good but find it hard to stick

If you were even for a second suggesting my comment was on Virender
Sehwag you are completely loco. I was the one person. (For quite some
time the only lonely voice) who has always been praising Sehwag on
this nsg. 2 to 3 years back when he was actually dropped from the test
team and even his one day career looked in doubt I was probably the
only one still praising him as a great player. Sehwag is a jewel. I
have said this when he was not doing so well (according to others. He
was still good as far as I'm concerned.) and I have praised him
obviously when he has played beautifully. In fact not even once have I
ever criticised him because his aggressive style is how he plays. We
have to expect that from his genius type of play. That's what he is.
One of a kind. Hard for any youngster to copy him as his immense hand
eye coordination allows him to get away with things most cannot. So my
comments were not neccessarily on any Indian batsmen in this
particular line up. It was a comment made in general about certain
batsmen who never really performed when it mattered. :)

was achievement enough for someone like me who has an ELO rating
ranging between 2000 to 2100.
Chessmaster's rating is over 2700 ELO rating so even a draw is
something incredible for a player like
me. So, without having any understanding of chess of my caliber I
would appreciate you keeping your
stupid asinine remarks about chess to yourself. That idiot and that is
who he was was a jerk who was
not only jealous of mine and other far better players than him but was
a frustrated idiot who got his
kicks insulting others rather than actually discussing chess. Unlike
cricket, chess can be played on the
net and can be discussed in detail about tactics, strategy etc. So,
chess is not only discussed in
detail but games are analysed and actually played on the net. This guy
could do nothing but criticise. I
would appreciate that if you want to talk and discuss cricket and even
insult people than by all means
do so like other fools who do nothing but insult on this nsg but when
it comes to chess, serious
chessplayers not only discuss chess but actually play out the game on
the net. Something which can't
be done in on a cricket nsg.
