The more they wished to know was actually the more they wished to see.
Who knew. In essence the problem is one of confidence and this is not
something that was going to be built or destroyed overnight. One only
hopes that they never actually have to see it work. But then why all
this time wasting before coming out and saying it after all the effort
being put into debreifing them. If you don't have confidence you are
not going to get it by a presentation suddenly.
Putting English grounds on standby will put the incentive for ECB to
actually not show up and we are now talking about even bypassing the
alternate.
CA, ECB and Cricket New Zealand will likely stick together on this. If
one comes the others don't look so good.
