Evident in the fact that Sreesanth has got off scot
free for an almost certainly intentional action which could kill
the batsman while Ganguly was excoriated for taking off his
shirt in the pavilion, is the hypocrisy of the Indian media.

Atherton is right. This kid is not in control of himself, probably
driven by a fear of failure. A 2-foot no-ball to follow up a
perfectly directed beamer leaves him with little defense.

Enzo [ Sreesanth out, an extra batsman in, would be ideal ]

Teammate and MOM Zaheer Khan, bowling coach Venky Prasad and Captain Dravid
completely SUPPORTS SreeSanth......

Dravid on SreeSanth as per cricinfo:

Cricinfo
reports that Dravid went up to Sreesanth in the dressing room and said
"Sree, after all this, after all the explanations I had to give for
you, I still love you and - "

Which itself is a strange comment from Atherton, because it wasn't the match
referee's responsibility in the first place.

Intentional? That is your conclusion and the same can be made of any
other beamer ever bowled. Unless you can read minds...
Sreesanth apologized immediately.

Atherton is an Indian fan, so it's natural he doesn't get that part.
But that's not news, since he's Ganguly's ADC and all... This "ban
Sreesanth" demand is all on Ganguly's bidding. He wants his Bengal
team-mate Bose to play, so he's asked his ADC to attack Sreesanth.
Gangs himself has stayed away so there's no blame on him. What a
deviously brilliant chap!
