Anderson wins but Lee wasn't as bad as some make out here

Anderson has a slightly better average, a much better econemy rate,
and more 5wi and 10wm.

Brett Lee was very very fast and could get wickets with pure speed but
if that didn't work he seemed to not have a "Plan B", and with an
economy rate of nearly 3.5 then you are a liability.

True.
Now let's compare Anderson and Steyn.

Anderson 81 matches 305 wickets
Steyn 65 matches 332 wickets

Anderson Average 30.14
Steyn Average 22.65

Anderson SR 58.5
Steyn SR 41.1

Anderson ER 3.08
Steyn ER 3.3

Anderson 5w - 13
Steyn 5w - 21

Anderson 10w - 1
Steyn 10w - 5

The Anderson-Lee comparison wasn't this silly, was it?
Unless, your contention is that Steyn's 3.3 ER makes him pretty close to
being a liability.

Of those 62 bowlers who have taken 200 or more wickets Steyn has the
4th worst economy rate, just ahead of those bowling legends Brett Lee,
Mitchell Johnson & Chris Martin.

Steyn is undoubtedly a very good bowler and may even be the best fast
bowler playing at the moment but he is nothing special yet.

Granted he's not a patch on Harmison, but once he learns to bowl he could
turn out to be decidedly useful.

Nonsense 332 wickets in only 65 matches is very special. He is on
course to emulate DKL on that regard.

At his best Lee was good, very good. A real team man too.

Do any of those 62 bowlers have a better SR than Steyn.

You need to get your head out of your ass(or is it Anderson's ass).

Harmison has 200+ wickets and a better ER than Steyn.

No, but you can't expect to get an accurate picture in only 65 matches. Get
back to us when Steyn has played 140.
