IS his wicket be considered as the most difficult one to take in the
history of cricket or what?

67* in 260 mts vs Ind Port of spain 2001/02
101* in 365 mts vs Ind Bridgetown 2001/02
136* in 675 mts vs Ind St. John's 2001/02
58 in 213 mts vs ind Kingston 2001/02

362 runs in 1513 mts between two dismissals

101* in 271 mts vs BD Kingston 2003/04
128* in 383 mts
and 97* in 231 mts vs Eng Lord's 2004
45 in 146 mts vs Eng Edgbaston 2004

351 runs in 1031 mts between two dismissals

116* in 413 mts vs Eng Old Trafford 2007
136* in 406 mts
& 70 in 255 mts vs Eng Chester-le-street

322 runs in 1074 mts between two dismissals

In the current series

107* in 352 mts
& 77* in 336 mts Vs Australia at North Sound
79* in 226 mts
& 42* in 210+ mts and counting
305 runs in 1224+ mts and still going strong.

Just to put Chanderpauls record in perspective. no other batman has
done it (batting for 1000+ mts between two dismissals) more than once
and only five batsmen could achive the record as listed below

Shoaib Mohd for Pak 308 runs in 1007 mts vs NZ 1990/91
Nasser Hussain for Eng 231 runs in 1023 mts vs SA in 1999/2000
Rahul Dravid for Ind 473 runs in 1161 mts vs BD & Zim in 2000/01
Jacques Kallis for SA 456 runs in 1246 mts vs Zim & Ind in 2001/02
Sachin Tendulkar for Ind 497 runs 1224 mts vs Aus & Pak in 2003/04

He's definitely hit some nice form...

actually... as i was typing that I looked at the dates...

they go back to 2001

so I can't really call it 'form', which is more temporary.

Ofc, his average is under 50 so we can't rate him as good (that's
bitter sarcasm coming out)

As we were talking about his form he unfortunately was given out lbw
for 50
thus putting an end to his 1000+mts batting

107* in 352 mts
& 77* in 336 mts Vs Australia at North Sound
79* in 226 mts

& 50 in 201 mts and counting
313 runs in 1215 mts.

A related stat would be to find the most number of runs added by a
batsman's team (all runs - by him, his partners and extras) , between
his two dismissals.

That only proves my point that test cricket is too easy. Even non-
great players like C'Paul who can't average more than 50 can easily
succeed in test cricket

Basically, You only need two skills in test cricket. if ball is on
stumps, block it, else leave it.

Yeah, cause all the greats average 0 runs over their entire career...

I've not read two sentences that say "I know nothing about cricket"
more than the two you just typed.

Here is a list of batsmen whose sides totaled (Tot) at least 750 runs
between their dismissals. The batsmen's individual runs (Ind) during
the sequence are given in the second column and the contribution of
the team mates (T) in the third.
