In rumourland, everything from the MIvsRR match is being linked to
fixing. Below is stuff I heard today.

Dravid has been given out wrongly a few times in his career, but has
never reacted in this fashion even when it was in matches that were
more important rather than an inconsequential group match played when
RR has already qualified. The only reason why he reacted so badly to
the umpire's decision is because he had heard rumours about the fix,
had suspected that something fishy was going on and was convinced that
the bad decision was because the umpire was on the take.

It's unfair on the umpires Rauf and Asnani to be convicted "in the
court of public opinion", but then in rumourland, everything is
perfectly logical.

Regards,
Jayen

P.S: In the absence of any information, Cricinfo has a list of 4 piss-
weak items that are either basic facts or formulaic press statements
and has labeled it a "blow-by-blow account".

Rumors are running rife at the moment. People are discussing the huge no-ball that R. P. Singh bowled to Sir Jadeja on the last ball of the game, leading to Chennai winning and RCB losing. At that time, Dhoni tweeted: "If you ask Sir Jadeja to get 2 runs in 1 ball, he will get them with 1 ball to spare." Now, of course, people are finding more sinister explanations for that big no-ball.

This reminds me of the days 13 years back when Cronje confessed to taking money from bookies. All manner of speculation immediately began on the web. Now, with vastly improved communication, with Facebook and twitter and blogs and what not, expect much more in the next few days.

Some blows are better than others, though all blows have some worth.
