Ha. He clearly HAS thought of records, as he knows his own very well.
Somehow it missed the fact that he also held the ODI record.
I know this will pain Ratboy, but damn Murali is a good bowler!

Hypothetically, he might have had a look at his records a few weeks
ago. He never 'thought' of records, but just realised!
His logic that he failed in a 5% of the matches fails. He failed to
take more than one wicket at least in 30 matches, and out of them at
least 10 were wicketless Tests for him. I admit however that I do not
know how he defines failure.
So, I could live with his claim - Murali never thought of records.

action could have been so creatively used by the sub continental memebers of
the ICC
to promote their own agendas and who would have thought that the ICC indeed
could
have re-written the laws to accommodate his bowling action.
The surprise remains the absence of another bowler who 'chucks' to the same
extent.
When one does appear, millions will be focussed on his career progression

This is nothing new.
When Pakistani bowlers did reverse swing, they were called cheats.
Manyh thought and wrote that without bottle caps reverse swing is
impossible. Now, the commentators of certain countries would go on to
speak volumes about how wonderful 'their bowlers' are will moderately
old ball.
When Saqlain and Murali bowled their Doosra, many jumped up and down
to say one cannot bowl doosra without chucking. Now, we all are
invited to look at Hauritz's doosra.
Remember... Sub-continent was NOT the power base when Murali was
accused of chucking. There was ample support for him from players and
commentators of non sub-continent origin.
