Bradley was 10 years younger than Whitter and was in very good shape
physically for this fight. Not at any point over the fight did he show
any signs of tiring unlike Whitter.
Bradley fought intelligently and when Whitter did attack he was caught
by Bradley's clean right hand. Bradley made himself small and
difficult to hit, he would come in to trade blows with his head barely
above Whitter's belt and The Hitter was clueless.
In the 6th round Bradley caught Whitter with a decent overhead right
and then started to land the better punches over the next 2 rounds.
Whitter grafted to edge a couple of rounds but Bradley who had boxed
clever up to now landed the better punches and was the man coming
forward in the latter part of the fight.
Bradley did exactly what a fighter had to do to get the decision over
here against the champion and 2 judges made him the winner. I have to
question some of the marking by the judge who scored for Whitter though
on account of the points difference.
Well done Bradley. Whitter can never last more than 30 seconds in an
interview before he mentions the name "Hatton" who he believes has
ducked him for years. I think Junior Whitter can forget about that big
pay day with Hatton now.

Overhand right would make more sense. :-)

Junior Witless did very little the whole fight, looking gassed by the
5th round, yet one of the judges gave him 8 rounds.
Oh well, at least the other two got it right.
The judges got the best seats in the house as well and that guy was
well off the mark. Who can blame people for thinking there is monkey
business taking place.
We accept that Bradley would have to be convincing to get the win at
the home of the champion.
