Indeedly, two living legends. Re. EG/Paret III, it was not
Referee Ruby Goldstein's finest moment. Ruby never
reffed another fight

That 20 + volley of punches Emille Griffith unleashed on Benny Paret
happened so lightening fast in so little time unfairly indicted Ruby
Goldstein in the Sweet Science History Book.

In my book, Goldstein stands tall despite any detractors' accusations.

Donn, I have no opinion on whether or not Goldstein botched that
tragic fight. However, I do give him credit for scoring the first
Louis-Walcott fight for Jersey Joe. The other two judges overruled him
in one of the most infamous decisions in boxing history.

In this case, DCI, your book is the wrong book. That the way
it is. There shan't be any apologia for Ruby G in the Book
of True.

That indeed was a very controversial fight. I. too, thought Walcott

My was not very tactful, DCI. Should have said: "Some
believed Ruby could have stepped in sooner." So, here's
to you and yours and all rsb-peoples:

"Happy Flu Year (oh, sorry.)!"

P.S. The great Joe Louis was also gifted in the bout
with Tommy Farr, based on old film we have seen.

"ddca," do I dare ask for any sort of clarifications on your
statement/response?

Any pick for the Championship Bowl? Texas or Alabama?
any pick for the Rose Bowl? Ohio or Oregon?

Happy New Year.

Happy New Year to you, DCI. Yes, Texas and Ohio
State are getting points but both will win outright.
