I don't think he would get a tat a few days before a fight though...

Ha, well not exactly.......i mean if only it were true or even
relevant. FWiW, Pacquiao's only said that he's suspicious (call it
superstitious) that DRAWING HIS BLOOD weakens him. There's a
distinction there worth noting, assuming that's not too much to ask in
the first place.

Now you can argue that that's a weak excuse on Manny's part, but the
fact is that it is his mindset, and even if it's all in his mind with
little basis in fact, it will certainly play out on his confidence,
etc. But the thing that really bugs me about this whole deal is that
it's all innuendo and no tangible proof, and people just run with it.
The Mayweathers have really put Pacquiao in a no-win situation just by
throwing this idea out there---that he's using PEDs even though he's
been tested (just the same as every other big-time fighter out there)
and never failed. And in this day of the internet, where a thing like
McCarthyism can be set into motion and spread at the speed of light
with huge swaths of the population hardly drawing a breath before
they've made up their minds----GUILTY,and off with his head!

brave new world indeed....... Is Pacquiao clean? I don't know, and
most likely neither do you. But I hope and suspect he is not, and as
such, i really hate the way this whole thing's gone down. Because to
date, his only crime has been being too good for someone else to
believe.....there's a great line in Captain Beefheart's song, Ashtray
Heart where he says, "make invalids of supermen". Indeed, and thanks
for that team Mayweather.

You're being redundant and disingenuous.

Not really. Tattooing normally draws a lot of blood too.

It's a silly excuse.

I think Pacquiao is being a bit precious to be honest.

If the system demands it he should give blood prior to the fight : why
would anyone risk fighting a drug cheat (not that I think he is) even if
he IS found out after?

Bottom line is that Mayweather is being a cock sucker, but we all knew
that, but Pacquiao has reacted just as PBF and team expected. And of
course the fight will happen and, of course, they will both make a few
extra million out of it as a result of the current stand off and the
interested generated.

Agreed. It's just cheap hype/advertising because it will happen and I expect
not too far away...

You've posted the same response 3 times. We got it the first time.

And now Manny Packquiao has laid down the guantlet as it were. He and
his legal council will be suing Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Golden Boy
Promotions for defamation of character for implying that Manny uses
steroids. Actually, if I recall the reports correctly, it was Floyd
Mayweather Sr. who stated that Manny has been juiced. Regardless, I
applaud Manny and his team for striking back quickly against a bunch
of loud mouths who are just looking for a way out anyway, IMO and
others. Let's see where this goes.

It's not mind games! It's about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$, and it's called
professional boxing. Gate receipts are the most important part of the
professional fighter's monthly bank statements.

Consider for a moment: Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao's trainer and
mentor, has one of the strongest reputations for integrity in the
sport. Does anyone among the tremendous fan base really believe all
this contrived prefight uproar? The uproar is a promoter's dream come
true.

Hope you had a very wonderful gathering for Christmas.

Take care.

Patrick, where have I heard or read that before? The Ifugao tribes of
northern Luzon would be happy to hear that. In their days as
head-hunters, it's good to know that you'd never lose your head in the
Phillipines . . . maybe a bit displaced but never lost.
