Re-starting...again
Well, it's after the new year and my plan was to start playing pool again. I don't have the time or money to "fart around" as usual and will have specific goals where I will demand some high performance from myself. I'll be starting again from a long-ish layoff and want to set the correct "tone" right away.... more »

Silver Cup Chalk
Is Silver Cup Chalk, Macon Ga. any good? Or is it what has been making me miss all these shots lately? Steve

Master Chalk
I know everyone here thinks Master chalk is about as good as it gets but is there a quality difference between the standard blue and the light green chalk or is it my imagination? I don't really care for the light green stuff -- it seems to be much softer and not really as good (does not hold as... more »

Tip identification
I found 4 tips in my cue case with a J stamped into them. They are pretty dark and look to have about half of the layers lighter then the other half. I have no idea what they are does anyone else have an idea?

Pivot-Pool Game
I just bought an old Pivot-Pool Game on a lark from a garage sale for one dollar. Anybody remember this? Anybody here have one? It's a plastic pool table about 32 inches long and 18 inches wide. Duck Tale
See the video: [link] The guy who appears early in the video at the left of the picture for about two seconds is Sittingduck. When I owned Family Billiards of Springfield (Oregon) I bought some one-piece Dufferin house cues, paying extra for spliced butts of cocobolo wood. Duck took... more »

World Cup Phillipines
Been watching World Cup Scotch Doubles on ESPN and several interesting things came up that have been discussed on RSB. First, Shane Van Boening (looking up his name briefly no one seems to know how to spell Boeing or Boening) and and Rodney Morris were partners and they broke and ran 3 racks, then, broke and came up dry. The Chinese... more »
