Semih Sayginer is his name.
Deno
One of the biggest thrills was meeting Mr. Caras! He was wonderful to
everyone who approached him, willingly signing all requested autographs, and
appeared to be enjoying himself immensely, especially when Ewa was kissing
on him! Then, what's not to enjoy, 91 years old or not!? I can't say he
was always this way, but many of today's pros could learn a lot from
watching this man interact with the fans! He's remarkable, and I'm proud to
say I came away with an autographed photo, (the only one I asked for).
BTW, Karen Corr is delightful also. Very friendly, and very approachable.
Some savvy sponsor is going to strike gold with her! The Knoxville Bear was
pretty cool too, and he still has a great eye for bank shots!
By the way, I do regret one thing. When Deno asked Allison to dance, at the
end of the Buddy Hall Tribute, I wish now I had asked Gerda to dance, or
Ewa, or Jeanette, or Dawn, for that matter. I don't imagine they get the
opportunity that often. I was busy bullshitting with others, and it didn't
even cross my mind at the time. Way to go Deno!
All in all, I had a blast, and I thank Clay Etheridge of Showcase Billiards,
and BCA Board fame, and Mike and Bill too, for including me and allowing me
to attend. Thanks guys. This was one week I'll never forget!

Semih Sayginer's three cushion game looks effortless. He made 10 or fifteen
points just in the few minutes I stood and watched, from anywhere the balls
landed.
Other highlights of the show were getting the dubious distinction of being
an official RSB "loudmouth" from lurker John Watkins(??).
I met Jim Barr, whom I expected to be older, and he said the same thing
about me. Cool guy. I also slipped him a hundred to make sure the Bunjee
comes out on top in the Bunjee/Attack cue Jump Off. I was able to jump
within an inch though but not consistently 8-(
I didn't get much chance to enjoy the show because we were so busy.
Although the show itself seemed slow we had constant traffic. Bob Johnson
made up at least half of it as I saw him walking around everywhere.
I beat Robin Dodson 2:1 at her booth while shopping. Robin gave me some
good pointers on how to jump with the Frog. I told her that I make the
Bunjee and she said that the Bunjee is a good cue as well. As I have said
before it's all in the stroke and under Robin's tutelage I became pretty
fair with the Frog as well.
Leonard Bludworth beat me in a short game of One Pocket. Next time I won't
sell out.
Our employee, Robin Layton won the Sardo fastest break contest for amateur
women with an 18.6mph break speed. I got a 3.3mph.
Dave Matlock was gracious enough to work at our booth for the duration of
the show. Dave is one of the humblest players I have ever met.
That's about it for my observations.

Yhat will teach you to break with a Bunjee LOL
Bert M <-- C=:-)
Thanks John, but if I was any older I could draw Social Security. It was a
pleasure to meet you.
BTW: I went to put that hundred in the bank 'cause the ink was rubbin' off
on my hands, and they told me that the bill from Arnot was a bit better :-)
