Trick shot artists.

Our store is thinking of bringing in a Trick Shot Artist to work our booth
at a local Home and Garden Expo. We are going to set up a few tables and
take some bar stools, maybe a nice poker table and what not. And we thought
that rather than have a static booth we should have some action to get us to
really stand out.

So the idea of an exhibition of sorts came up. We are considering bringing
someone in for three days to interact with the public and do some trick
shots. My suggestion was to have Chef Anton come in. The guy is awesome.
Top notch trick shots and an amazing slight of hand magician. He also
brings a carnival type atmosphere to the gig where he can infect the
audience and draw a serious crowd. I also thought he might be cheaper than
bringing in a pro like Mike Massey or Ewa.

They expect up to 40,000 people over the three day weekend so we need
someone who can keep the act up all day rather than running two or three set
shows. That is why I though Chef Anton would be perfect. Any other
suggestions? I have not seen the Chef in a few years, anyone know how to
get a hold of him? What about Paul Gerni (sp?)? Thanks for the input!

did a favor for me once and showed up at the league women's playoffs to say
hello to the girls. People were beside themselves to be in her presence.

I've never seen Gerni or Anton myself so I can't give an opinion on them. I
have seen Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman many times and he has never failed to be a big
hit.

Mike,
Check out Fast Eddy Felson. He is very entertaining and informative.
I have seen him a couple of times and he does a great show. He has a

I agree with Ed Mercer. Tom Rossman is the only one for this type of
environment. All other exhibition players that I've seen finish their
routines by the clock. Tom Doesn't want to stop. He also has deals
where he spends the entire day with the customers and work one on one
with them, and do many smaller exhibitions throughout the day.

will get the room coming back for more.

Ed isnt Tom going to be at the WPBA event at Palace Billiards? I was there
getting tickets for the event and I think that was the name he told me was
coming to the event for a trick shot show.

Thanks for all the input people! Looks like if this is going to go down
then it will be the Chef or Tom (Dr. Cue) Rossman. It looks like Rossman
will be the best bang for the buck. Very reasonable rates and he is right
over in Indiana so we should not have to worry about a plane ticket. The
date for the Expo is mid September sometime. I will drop a post if we
decide to bring someone in so some of the locals can stop by and see a hell
of a show. Thanks again!
