That's worse than an NCAA tourney run. And we have to keep playing
after the first loss.

3 of these games are on the road.

UNC could go 3-4 in the next month.

O the horrors!

Better to prepare for a rugged tournament by playing a tough OOC
schedule, even if you take a couple of losses, than to pad your
ranking by beatnig up on cupcakes before starting your conference
play. It's a model that has worked for Arizona for 15 years.

Jim Boheim says, "Put it in your pantry with your cupcakes!"

While true for UNC and other teams that have a whole lot of talent and
experience, if you've mostly got players that have previously had very
little playing time, and/or your coach needs to do a lot of
experimenting with player combinations and game plans, a goodly number
of cupcakes in the preseason is probably a better way to go. You won't
usually be able to pad your ranking a whole lot, though, for most values
of cupcake.

This is so stupid. What is Roy thinking?

If they lose, they probably won't get a BCS bid.

I guess you mean Jim Boeheim, the coach of Oranges?

What does it mean when he quotes a line from a old song about keeping
family secrets?

I guess I needed a Duke education, to get all your allusions, double-
entrendres, deep meanings, simlies, metaphors, onomatopoeia.

Or maybe its all that good acid I missed.

That kinda stuff does not work at Carolina. It will just create a
whole team of head cases.

It will be good for those 3 teams that get a chance to beat the tar
out of the defending champions on their home courts.

Well, here's the way it works at UNC.

The team gets lazy and loses the first half and gets chewed out at
half
time.

Or, they don't make the spread but win the game anyway and the coach
says "We will treat that like a loss".

Actually losing is apt to cause PTSD.

Dad gum.

Speaking of rankings, I wonder who ranked UNC #1 in the ESPN poll.
UNC had one vote.

Roy was saying we should not be ranked even #6. Do you think a UNC
assistant would rank us #1?

After our drubbing by the Oranges, we have been knocked down to number
10ish in the polls. The Orarges actually got a 1# vote in the AP
poll.

We still have to meant 2,3 and 5 in the next three weeks. Mich.
State, Texas, and Kentucky. If we don't lose all three it will be a
miracle.
